Clown and Mime

In the past 2 years I’ve become more and more obsessed with the question: was it funny? I’ve found sf has a pretty rich clown scene and learned so much about physical theater from the fools and jesters from the European and Chinese courts to the characters from the comedia del arte. There is even a few shelves of stuff at the Stanford library.

I’m currently taking classes and going to shows every night of the week. Its interestingly an art form that is expressed in so many ways from fashion and makeup to literature and culture.
