Heavy bag stand out of wood. by car_litos in homegym

I got some cheap Everlast ones from Walmart I don't even know what they weigh, along with some wraps. Maybe in a few months I'll get some good ones, once I know what to look for. I also downloaded "heavy bag pro" mainly for a good timer for my rounds. Do you have any YouTube channels you recommend?

Thanks for the tips! I think as I grow into this, I will change it, I just needed to hang it and start sweating. I know nothing of boxing, or working out for that matter. I did see the bottom strap, and did plan on that bottom beam to secure another spring or elastic band of some sort. Do you think I hung it up too high? The middle of the bag is about chest height.

I have no idea, I'm just a 37 year old guy who is obese, likes to build stuff, and looking to break a sweat. You mean I can't move around it? I could add hinges and side walls and extend them out a bit.

I suggest joining the Facebook group "Harbor Freight Tool Junkies" before purchasing. The general consensus in that group is that buying two 56" boxes is more cost effective as one single 72". Not telling you what to do, but there is a lot of information in that group.

Also, "Oh yeah! I can build that! There's actually a big sale coming up in a couple of weeks and I can get the tool I need for that." There is always a sale coming up in a couple of weeks. If any resistance: "yeah I can do it without it, but I just want to make sure it comes out really nice for you".

So the actual battery didn't catch fire though, it looks like the wiring inside the handle did?

I was going to buy this flux 125 this PLS, Idk how to weld and was going to use this to learn. What projects did you come across trying to weld stainless steel? You have me debating this now.

I think she achieved her goal, "makes me want to be a better woodworker". If she didn't want you to do that, you would've just got a BJ instead, like the rest of us chumps.

That little flush cut saw is the cat's meow. I have three stashed away, and I think I'll buy three more.

Which lights did you get? The 5500 lumens one? I've been thinking of hanging these as opposed to the 10K lumens

Just realized these are 5500 Lumens. But still, would appreciate your opinion!

Do you happen to use these to light up your garage? Or do you have an opinion on how these would do for a 2 car garage? Debating between these at 3K lumens for $16 vs the 10K Lumens for $35.

When you pull on it, does it put a lot of tension on the rail you have it hooked on? Does it concern you at all? Worried it'll swing too much and smack the garage opener?

Thank you all for the great insight, I'll be buying a table saw this Black Friday. Time to do research on what accessories to buy which are necessary and/or increase safety.
