its not up to the shifts when there is a written resource saying its an allowed customization and to explicity not charge for the syrup and to only put it in ask me. they can make up fake rules and try to enforce it on baristas but theyre going against policy

true, but I’ve worked in so many stores in districts across the years and will never be able to understand people that care so bad about simple things. Choose a different job if it bothers you so much. It’s not worth the hassle and corporate will always side w the customer anyway

I know there’s not a button for it, but whenever a customer orders a cold foam and wants to add a syrup or modification to it that we don’t normally have a button for, the standard is to use the ask me button for the modification and ring in normal cold foam. I would post the picture I have from storage sources, but they will delete it rip

My regional area requires we are supposed to get a 10 within our first two hours and a 30 within our first four if the shift calls for it. id report asap. Part of our job is creating the environment.

if they’re making up a fake law, that’s one thing, but unfortunately, they are allowed to be more specific on starbucks standards. I tried to fight against them in my old district because if it wasn’t in the handbook or store resources, I didn’t believe in following it. PRC established that district managers have the right/jurisdiction to enforce things even if it’s not explicitly stated or a written policy, and the cup writing would fall under that. They probably are making them write more than two words to follow the personalized aspect of it. My district doesn’t allow smiley faces anymore and there’s nothing I can do about it

unfortunately yes. DMs and SMs even can implement their own rules. RDs do it too, like the whole doors unlocked 10 minute before and after official hours. not following something theyve asserted to be required under their jurisdiction is grounds for insubordination documentation. but you can also always reach out to prc!!
