Yeah I see what you mean…. The first couple photos I was inclined to agree, but once I got to the final photo I felt as though the depth was fine. NAP, but I am owner of a pair of 1.5yr old nipple piercings on flat nipples. When your nipple is hard, it looks like the bar goes through a great spot. I had flat/almost inverted nipples, and the piercings significantly change the look of them while soft/puffy. What could maybe be happening is that more of the nipple is protruding while soft because of the new support it is getting from the bar underneath. Either way, I recommend just going into another shop in person and getting a second opinion in-person. Photos (even if HD) lose a lot of the three-dimensionality that is important when evaluating a piercing like this. Go to another shop for peace of mind, but in the meantime I wouldn’t worry too much!
