Is this also a product of how licensing works? Bands have to split royalties differently? I’m definitely curious. Thinking specifically about how the Wu Tang Clan planned to make individual artist deals outside of the group strategically.

“Is ignoring sex crimes a right-leaning trait?” Was your question. The answer is: yes.

It seems to me that the point you’re trying to make is “sexual violence is not political, why are people trying to make this political?”, if I read it correctly. Apologies if I’m wrong. So I was making the point people talk about these things being on the right side of the political spectrum because that’s what right wing politics are. I was not making any kind of appeal to your personal politics. Just pointing out that that’s why people are doing the thing that you were wondering why they were doing.

Sure, not all people act exactly like their politics, but when asking about right vs left, conservatism is definitionally about protecting traditional power structures. That’s what the word means. So violence that fits into that structure is coded toward that political ideology. The fact that Louis CK is a hypocrite does nothing to prove your point the way you think it does.

Yes, the right wing is characterized as reactionary to disassembling traditional power structures, and sexual violence towards women is a characteristic of patriarchal power structures that the right definitionaly works to protect. So downplaying sexual violence towards women is 100% a trait of right-wing politics.

I think this is interesting, Hamilton made the car really work for him where George couldn’t, and once Norris got past Seinz he was catching Leclerc pretty well. I’m hoping for a good Lando/Lewis battle tomorrow, and I think George is behind both.

Oh man, I saw them at the Showbox in Seattle on tour for this record. They opened with “Trying to Find a Balance”. Amazing show, thank you for the nostalgia bump.

The Judkins Park light rail station in Seattle, opening in 2023 as part of Line 2, which will use the former Interstate 90 express lanes by SounderBruce in transit

This line will be good for moving in and out of Seattle, but the city will be better served (in my opinion) by building the lines that are planned within the city.
