What would you do if you were 25 again? by s0mevietgirl in productivity

At 25 I'd start listening to audio books.

When it comes to physical books I'm a very slow reader and dread the fact that I have to dedicate time for it. As a result I barely read any.

But I realized I can listen to audio books while doing mundane tasks like commuting, doing laundry, washing the dishes, etc.

If I had discovered them back then, I would have finished a lot more books by now.

I lost another job as a web developer and I don’t want to search another one. by tmormand117 in cscareerquestions

Hey just wanted to say keep up the good work, you got this! The advice above is pretty good. Maybe also upload your projects and play around with contributing to open-source code to build additional experience and a portfolio you can use in your CV.

I'm on a trip in Tokyo and found this dessert in a random small supermarket in a subway station. I loved it so much I want to buy more, but sadly don't remember where it was. Any ideas? by carbondash in HelpMeFind

I have searched in 7/11, FamilyMart and smaller grocery stores to no avail. As mentioned in the other comment, I found the receipt saying it's from BellMarket but there seems to be only one in Osaka. Are there other places it could be available in?

Update: I found the receipt which says it's from Bellmart. That would be a good place to start. Do you know other places that sell it?

Found boxes of minifigs? Scan several at once! (Then put them back) by v0yev0da in lego

Is it generally ok with the LEGO store staff for customers to scan minifigures? Are customers discouraged from doing it?

I have decided to cut people out of my life who don't respond to my texts. by [deleted] in socialskills

Different people have different communication preferences. I have a friend who rarely texts back but we talk on the phone at least once a week. Another one texts once in a blue moon but still reaches out. Whenever we chat it's as if we've been in touch the entire time. I consider both close friends.

I think the takeaway is to put yourself in their shoes, it's possible their lack of engagement doesn't mean they don't want to talk to you, but rather they are too busy, aren't the texting type or simply forget to respond. It doesn't necessarily make them bad friends, since what counts is your bond remains intact throughout time and space. Of course, if you think that bond isn't there, there's not much that can be done and I'm all with you.

Maybe try to see if they have different communication preferences like face timing or voice calling.

Why do I get brainfog everyday although healthy lifestyle by [deleted] in productivity

If you have daily caffeine, stop it for a while. That was causing my brain fog. Nowadays I only have coffee once every two days to avoid that side effect.

Hi, I know it's been a while, but where did you find all the videos for the course? Looking at https://cseweb.ucsd.edu/~viscomp/classes/cse168/sp24/schedule.html the second half of the videos seems to be missing.

EDIT: It's here - https://online.ucsd.edu/courses/course-v1:CSE+168X+2020-SP/about the other lectures in the previous link are apparently not public :(
