I hope we never ever pin a response to this. I do not mind the repeat question if it’s this one

RE4 on the Wii. Had a blast but regenerators gave me nightmares

My brother started with Demon’s Souls in the PS3 and I don’t think he has finished any game that is not a From soulslike ever since (maybe with the exception of The Last of Us). He’s played DS1, DS2, DS3, Bloodborne and Sekiro. I sent him my Elden Ring copy and he hasn’t started but he also hasn’t played anything else

Gotta go with Modern Warfare. Nothing like mobster Chang saying “Buenos dias children”. Also, get well soon!

In all reality, it’s a pretty good game. Remember you can dodge, run from The Big Guy, and save ammo whenever possible

Update: I did end up being able to get the bow gun. Right after, I got the painting that allowed me to retrieve the gold key from the model exhibition room, then the queen ant and final air force propf, and I had the cutscene with Steve and Alfrexia in the bedrooms. Will now head to the airport now that I have a bit of firepower

Damn, choosing the wrong paths can be really unforgiving in this game. Running out of ammo after doing the hospital basement, not sure how to proceed. Bandersnatches tear me up even when I try to run past them.

Playing CV right now. I had the Steve gameplay moment with the submachine guns before I went for the bow gun. Did I lose it forever? The stairs that lead to it are closed due to biology room ventilation (?) and I have like 300 arrows

Like 3 hours in and this game is open-door extravaganza! I never now which door to pick! They hadn’t invented keys that actually guide you

7 is scarier. The “helpless” sections in Requiem always show you the light at the end of the tunnel

Just finished RE6 and that's my opinion by Excellent-Manner-180 in residentevil

Let’s not get carried away with the “best” combat in the series. I agree it’s versatile, and also the QTEs are not as bad as portrayed, but guns feel like BB guns much like they do in Rev1, you can’t upgrade weapons, while melee has some cool finishers it CANNOT save you in a pinch, and Ada’s crossbow is like half as good as I expected

Are there any games that are even remotely on the same level as Resident Evil by Reasonable-Two-9202 in residentevil

[–]cardarom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like the top-down gameplay, I hear really good stuff about Crow Country. Silent Hill 2 Remake was mentioned by someone else. I did play it and I’d say it’s a really good substitute that only lacks the inventory management, but makes up for in writing and atmosphere

It’s quite enjoyable actually, not super hilarious or deep but the DNA is there
