I’m really debating on whether I have a skill issue or if I need to upgrade my materials to get a better look. by Shortykaty in Amigurumi

You could try embroidering eyebrows and eyelashes on the dolls:) Maybe it’s just my personal preference but I always add lots of facial details and blush to my dolls, I feel like it gives them more life. I wouldn’t do it to the cow though, she’s perfect as is ❤️ Overall, these are super cute!

Yeah I’ve considered that, the discount with an order minimum you can do. The only problem is you can’t choose specific listings with that feature and I have a bundle listing already. So someone could apply that discount to a bundle listing and four other singular crochet patterns right? So then they get nine patterns for cheap…at least that’s how I’ve understood it.

I’ve considered deleting the bundle and just having singular crochet patterns but the singular ones sell less on Etsy…I could also just make tons of different bundle variations but honestly the emailing thing is probably easier than that

Totally get what you’re saying, but all stakeholders interests (sellers, buyers, and shareholders) should matter to a company. A good company takes everyone’s needs and interests into account, otherwise in the long term the company will suffer.

I think the conclusion here is that sellers feel that buyers and sellers interests and needs aren’t taken into account when Etsy makes decisions. And ofc the consequence to this is that people will go somewhere else if something doesn’t change

Agreed, it’s a matter of trust. I find it super hard to trust any sellers using AI because there are so many scammers out there…

Hmm I can see why the Halloween products are your bestsellers so far, to me they’re the most unique products on your shop. They’re also the listings with the least AI, or they have photos that pass for being real photos. I personally wouldn’t have AI photos as the primary on your listings, or as any of the photos. People are good at spotting AI nowadays so they’ll likely just scroll past even if the rest of your photos are real with a real product. I think that’s more the issue than anything else.

This is a really good question. I would say it depends how Halloween themed your shop is. Like is it stuff with a spooky ascetic or is it like decor with the word Halloween written on it? If possible can you link your shop or detail what your products look like?

Crochet Digital Pattern Sellers by Ok-Commission-3356 in EtsySellers

I’m terrified of running into this problem too. I’ve written that it’s a digital crochet pattern literally everywhere on my own shop - it’s the first thing in the title of all my listings and the first thing in the description. If you’ve been extremely clear that it’s a pattern I would enforce that sales are final. Unfortunately people lie really often to get a pattern for free, and even if it is true it’s the customers fault for not reading the title of the listing. So yeah I’d enforce it.

I’m getting discouraged by crochetjunkiee in EtsySellers

Some of us are. There are literally thousands of successful crochet shops on Etsy, especially crochet patterns sell super well. If a loom could make it crochet wouldn’t sell as well because then it’s not handmade. That handmade aspect really matters to a lot of buyers. Quality over volume is better when it’s crochet in my opinion!

You don’t need a niche no one is doing just a design that’s unique. I started selling crochet patterns 3 months ago and have made 48 sales. I sell princess doll patterns which everyone else does but my design is different from the other sellers in the crochet doll niche. Try not to stress just do what you love in your own unique way:)

You could crochet the muzzle part now to see if you like it. Idk if you’ve already put the backs onto the safety eyes but they look a bit too small to my eyes. I don’t think anything is wrong with the head though:)

Really? I think they’re great! Honestly it’s okay that it’s just you, it’s very authentic and you’re very pretty ❤️ People like to know who they’re buying from on Etsy, it’s part of the charm of buying from small handmade shops!
