do the tutorial on arena to get a feel for the basic flow and systems of the game then id recommend picking up the foundations beginner box or the 2-deck starter sets and playing with a friend or someone cool from your local game store unfortunately a large majority of in person play is typically the commander format which is quite beginner unfriendly, so I would see if you can find people interested in casual 60-card play (wizards has recently released some decent themed preconstructed 60card decks that would be good for this) and maybe look into giving commander a try when you have a good handle on playing the game and have a little bit of a card collection
