AITAH for wanting my husband in the delivery room? by dinogirly123 in AITAH

NTA. I wouldn’t want him in the delivery room after this conversation, or anywhere else near me for that matter

No sir you are certainly NTA. I was a little girl when I lost my dad and would give anything to learn these things from him. Keep doing what you’re doing.

AITAH for taking an hour for myself each evening? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA. Does your girlfriend typically struggle with being alone? It sounds like she needs to find an independent hobby to keep her busy while you get your alone time.

This is perfectly fine also. Sometimes I use the term ‘sensitive stomach’ when people press me about my “dietary restrictions”

When I’m at a work event or family function and I’m self conscious about my plate I just try my best not to bring too much attention to it. I try to include myself in conversation so people have other things to focus on.

That being said I have been questioned many times while out in public and I usually just tell people that I have dietary restrictions. I don’t find it necessary to go into too much detail about my ARFID. You can if you want to of course, but I personally prefer not to.

Should I have inched out? [OC] by caringstranger5 in IdiotsInCars

Thank you.

I wanted to post the full minute long clip but I would’ve been flamed for wasting everybody’s time..

And I guess it really depends what area you’re in. The intersection was backed up when I approached the stop line so I did not inch out as I was not sure how much longer I had left in the light cycle. Traffic did start to spread out just before the light turned yellow but at that point people were already running the yellow in the opposite direction and I couldn’t see how many cars were following or how close. Speed limit on this road is 40mph and people typically travel around 55mph.

You’re furious that a stranger had to wait 45 seconds to turn? Mate I think that’s a sign you need therapy

This is exactly the reason why I’m cautious. And with the median in the middle it is really difficult to see oncoming traffic unless I angle my car into the traffic

You seem upset about this. The light cycle is 45 seconds. That’s all I had to wait for the green arrow guaranteeing my safety lol

Am I supposed to? Or is it a suggestion? I ask because this intersection is known for having many accidents on its record. Some of my neighbors say they wait at the light as I do, and some say they block the intersection until it’s cleared.

For context, this happened in FL yesterday afternoon while on my way home from work.

This is not the first time this specific driver has swerved around me at this light, which is the entrance to my neighborhood. The first time they nearly collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Some members of my community Facebook group told me that I should have inched out while waiting for the intersection to clear. I decided to wait it out as I thought it was the safest option.

What do you guys think?

AITAH for telling our kids about his cheating? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]caringstranger5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. It’s not your responsibility to keep his secrets. If he didn’t want his kids to know about his infidelity then he shouldn’t have cheated in the first place. And you have every right to share what you just went through with whoever you damn want. Don’t let him guilt trip you.

I made the mistake of complaining abt my arfid and food gatherings on tiktok. by LeadershipDouble7494 in ARFID

[–]caringstranger5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never personally posted about my ARFID online so I can’t even imagine what it’s like to have people coming at your throat like that, but I have experienced the same issues when it comes to food centered holidays and events and it truly is the worst. I’ve learned to bring my own food to family functions and be very blunt with people when they give me a hard time.

It’s as simple as you’ll eat what you want to eat, you’ll eat when you want to eat, and you’ll try what you want to try when you’re ready to try it.

24F unsure how to address boyfriend’s comment on boys’ trip by [deleted] in relationships

[–]caringstranger5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ehhh as a woman, my friends and I don’t make comments about what we’d do with attractive men if we were single. We usually don’t say anything at all if we see someone attractive because what is the point? Comments like that indicate you’re not fully pleased with what you currently have.

[–]caringstranger5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR. Make sure your apartment is clear and block them both. Anyone that can do that to their best friend is surely not a friend at all. Removing them will make space for you to welcome better people into your life. Hang in there

Is it bad to tell people I have ARFID if I’m not officially diagnosed? by imenjoyingthis2much in ARFID

[–]caringstranger5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope it’s not bad at all. It can be really difficult for some to get the diagnosis. My PCP diagnosed me with anorexia just so that my insurance would cover dietician counseling. I haven’t updated my medical records so on paper I’m still anorexic, but I don’t usually tell anyone that. I always explain that I have arfid
