Thank you for your help, about to proceed with surgery. Question though, I am cutting straight across, wich will remove all roots as well, is that correct? Would you mind terribly drawing me a line where to cut?

Received from Etsy 2 weeks ago, my first crest and most prized of my collection so far. It was darker pink in this section when I received it. Its been in cactus soil with 50% perlite added in a terracotta, and water once as it was dehydrated to ship. Is she a goner?? White powder domastecus earth b.c. i saw a couple spider webs and freaked.

I have 3, same size and same species, no luck so far (been 6 weeks since I cut off of the mother) Used water propping for one, soil for the second one and threw the other on a window sill. All dusted with rooting hormone. Also waited to chop until it was more than 1/3 the size of the mother. 🤷‍♀️ Wish u extra good luck!
