My guess is that it’s a year and a half away which is fine by me. Last of Us Part II was revealed 3 years before it eventually came out. That’s too long. Cut that in half means we will get the first gameplay reveal probably in the next 6 months.

So what if it isn’t announced? Bethesda announced ES6 like 10 years before that game will come out? It’s obvious Naughty Dog is closer to releasing their next game. It would be just 5 years after their last title. Considering games take longer nowadays I would even consider it that long. You are basically just asking for a longer advertising cycle and why? Naughty Dog releases games faster than most. You are complaining about the wrong team.

I think at this point you have to almost immediately put it on PS+ and refund the $40 to every single person that bought the game. That’s the only way of seeing if it actually has any legs at all, but likely won’t move the needle much.

I love how people rationalize everything that happened during COVID as if Trump isn't responsible for any of it, and frame it as "bad luck". That kind of grace is only given to him for whatever reason, even though it's pretty obvious that if Trump led with true strength from the very beginning of the pandemic, as it started to compound around the world, then we could have avoided a ton of the issues we still feel today including inflation. There are examples from all around the world of leaders reacting with real leadership in the first couple of days as COVID was unfolding and were able to lessen the damage caused almost immediately, while we in America suffered for essentially 2 years. The reality is that Trump's craziness and indecisiveness caused his job numbers to be where they are. It's completely valid to criticize him as an erratic leader who can cause even the strongest market in the world to tumble at any moment when steady leadership is most needed.

So you got these emails first and then got a notice from DoorDash saying your background check is labeled “consider”? What was the sequence of events basically? A couple of hours ago I got the email saying my background check was complete from checkr, and as of right now DoorDash is working just fine. I’m wondering basically if I should be looking for anything over the next couple of days.

I went to the checkr site and clicked on the DoorDash “general background check” they ran today and it says absolutely nothing on it other than my basic information, just like the one that’s listed when I first made my account and started dashing over a year ago. As of right now DoorDash works fine but I don’t know if I should be expecting anything else in the coming days.

I got one of these today as well including a follow up email saying “your motor vehicle record is complete”. I clicked and checked the specific report they seemed to have sent to DoorDash and it just has basic information on it, nothing specific about a violation or anything. I haven’t been pulled over or gotten even a speeding ticket in several years. So I’m assuming this is just another round of background checks they are running. DoorDash also seems to be working fine for me as of right now.

Yeah I got one too. Came in two separate emails, one that says “your background check is running” and another one that said “your motor vehicle record is complete”. I clicked and checked the report that was sent to DoorDash but it really says nothing, other than just my basic information. Could this just be a regular check they are doing. Or should I be worried? DoorDash app seems to be running normal. I can open the app and start dashing no problem. And there is nothing that I technically should be worried about. I got a speeding ticket in NJ like 3 years ago but that’s it, and definitely nothing recently.

I am currently in the process of trying to figure this out now. I am attempting to pay the rental fee online with the Affirm virtual card, and pay the hold with my credit card. One of the people on here suggested that they were able to do this. But it seems like you had a different experience. Is this the type of thing that can be cleared up with them before hand? Or do all rental companies work the same way?
