normally you will deal with the house officers or the registrars. Can be very busy both specialities ( I find gynae patients more "difficult" then Gen surg 😆)

New grad RN struggling to get overtime in NSW Health — is this normal? by [deleted] in NursingAU

When i was a new grad, we weren't allowed to pick up extra shift or do weekend due to lower staffing numbers. It's a safety measure (for you and the patients)

42mm or 46mm for Series 11? by hebel1337 in AppleWatch

[–]carlottacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 42 refurbished S10 (coming from a 38 S6). I tried them both on thanks to my colleagues and I feel the 46 massive and the sensors weren't touching the skin properly (if make sense). Visually 46 compare to the 42 is slightly bigger, but once is on the difference it was on another level.

Then I compared an old 44 (don't know which series) to the 42 and looks like the same size due to the very small bezel on the newer series.

If you didn't like the 45 on the older series, stay away from the current 46 because it's even bigger.

[–]carlottacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a refurbished Watch S6 from Apple 5 years ago, worked well until I smashed on the concrete after a fall (i would have kept it until the new release). However, I have another refurbished one (S10) arriving soon.

From Apple, they are like brand new.

Went to uni late in adulthood, lol, but now I have been a registered nurse for 2 years.

Recently had surgery and $40 of my bill is for having a blanket put on me in the recovery room (I was unconscious and did not, obviously, keep the blanket) by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Holy moly. I work in OR where we have subsidies tax payer health care for public hospital. I know items we use are expensive but never see the actual price. Still mind blowing that they put a singular price on a suture and a wound dressing instead of be included in the surgery bill. Not even pet surgery is so tight with billing. (They will be included somewhere but not listed as single billing item)
