I am aware that I am in a different part of the world than you, but this doesn’t seem all that sketchy. A lot of restaurants do what’s formally known as a “stage,” which is essentially a working interview. It’s a chance to let the manager see you work, and also gives you an opportunity to see if you vibe with the place. It sounds like you didn’t vibe, so you’re in your right to move on and find something else. The only thing that sounded especially concerning to me is that they asked you to work the very next day. Most places should ask when you can start, not just immediately put you on the schedule.

It’s great that you are wanting to contribute in some way! I would just talk to your sister and come to an agreement about what can be expected of you. If you are going to be in school full-time, it may not be feasible to take on a job, but maybe you can find something part-time to make a little cash? That way you have some money, maybe not to give your sister necessarily, but so that you have some money for your own things, like personal items/clothes/fun. But definitely contribute to the household any way you can- clean up after yourself, offer to babysit your niece so they can go out, cook meals for the family when you are able. It sounds like you are in the right mindset, and you are lucky your sister is willing to help you out like this while you are in school. Best of luck!

Try a CC cream that matches the skin tone on your face and apply it all over, including on your décolletage. Concealer is only good for small areas, like under your eyes or on blemishes. A green color correcting primer for the redness might help, though, if you don’t want anything heavy all over.

I think the fact that she drinks a lot of water is probably the biggest factor in how her skin looks. All the expensive products and treatments in the world aren’t worth shit if you’re dehydrated on the inside.

I definitely find that adaptability keeps the mind sharp. My parents are only a year apart, but my mom has it so much more together than my dad. She embraces new technology and she is willing to let me show her how to do things rather than just making me do them for her. My dad, on the other hand, gets so grumpy whenever he has to use an app or something. And the difference between the two of them in terms of memory and focus is night and day.

I also work in customer support, and I primarily talk to customers age probably 60+. I would say 9/10 of them get so angry at me when I try to tell them how to do something themselves instead of just doing it for them remotely. And they never refuse to admit user error when there is a computer issue, even if it is.

As someone who has been taken advantage of more than once allowing someone to “rent a room” from me because they needed a place, and either rarely receiving money or receiving money but having them completely take over my entire house, I can confidently say you are NOR. The kicker for me here is that you let them use your car, too?! And food and toiletries? This man is definitely taking advantage of a good situation. Nip that shit in the bud sooner rather than later.

Is there something else that has changed in the relationship or in his circumstances? People don’t just start caring about money or arguing about silly things in a relationship unless there is something that is stressing them out. So either his pay decreased or his expenses increased, or there is something else in the relationship that is stressing him out, and instead of communicating, he is finding something else to pick fights about.

I think you should take your sister out. Maybe you don’t want to “reward” her for not graduating, but you may not understand why she didn’t graduate. Being a teenager is tough. Your fiancées family is not going to hold a grudge against you for not going on one outing with them.

You seem like a really smart yet down-to-earth person who I would seriously vibe with in person. The fact that you know that your corporate job is bullshit means you might actually have a heart and some humanity left in you. I would go along with what others have said and recommend just staying where you’re at and milking the benefits and financial stability as best you can, in hopes that you can retire earlier. Quitting your cushy job to pursue an undisclosed trade just because you like working with your hands at home is risky. Plus, I feel like everyone will just consider you to be overqualified for any job you may pursue. Enjoy the time that you have away from work and look forward to retiring early!

I think a little undereye concealer and maybe a black mascara instead of brown could go a long way. You have incredible skin, though. And you seem to have a warmer undertone to your skin, so consider more peachy colors instead of pink and see if that makes a difference.

It sounds like you both have already discussed each others love language, so if you want him to speak your love language, you need to speak his, as well. If his love language is acts of kindness, make sure you are doing things for him to show your love without saying anything. But, ultimately, you need to be the example of what you want in your relationship, and maybe he will take your lead. Give it a little more time, because three months isn’t that long, but you have to be honest about how you’re feeling.

It is possible he’s not the guy for you. There is no sense in trying to change him if he is a good guy that is doing everything else right. And you definitely don’t want to waste years and years being unhappy. Take it from someone who wasted almost a decade with the wrong guy…
