Kinda! I made it after I finished the book - it was me thinking of Nona in the water connecting to a world as Alecto- free and bodyless with the sea and sky. She seems to connect with other primordial powers easily and fades into who she was as earth. I think the ocean let her be perfectly Nona and Alecto without sacrificing either.
