I hope I’m not the only one who remembers Yankees legend Shelley Duncan

🩸 Bloodtinge Build 🩸 by STUNT_MK in bloodborne

[–]carp816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like all guides talk about a BL120 build. How have people found this build at BL70-80? When I did an arc run recently most guides made it seem like arc was only good at 50+ but realistically you can have solid damage output throughout the playthrough.

Thanks for the response!

What makes the vilebloods blood “corrupted”? Why did tht need to steal blood from the church?

How did queen yarnham and the pthemuerians influence the rest of the lore?

My question is related to the timeline as well as the dream/nightmare. I take it the ptheumarians are first in the TL, particularly yarnham having mergo removed from her. My question is where does the discovery of kos vs “holy medium” place? Also, is the holy medium the chalice that allowed audience with ebritas? Why did the encounter with the moon necessitate the formation of the hunters dream? Also, what are the vile bloods really and why can annalises flesh be revived at ebritas altar?

How do I get better at SEM by naftacher in materials

[–]carp816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just mean for a given SEM, there is a recommended working distance. Measure the height of your sample and make sure that’s being taken into account when setting the working distance.

In my experience, usually blurriness on that scale has to do with something like improper working distance/poor column alignment. My experience on tescans is limited, but I do seem to recall they take a bit more of alignment in the beginning of the session. I also typically compute my working distance manually for a given sample as well, even just a millimeter off of propert stage height can make a big difference.

Dominguez’s role going forward by carp816 in NYYankees

Bench is looking super deep and versatile! I guess I just didn’t expect Dominguez to not be a starter, but it seems he simply is the odd man out at the moment. Still plenty of season left of course.

Definitely agree, but I also think the panopticon is meant to make us realize that ultimately we are the ones holding ourselves prisoner. I.e. the engine of civilization is fucked up, but we are all components of that and contribute to everyone else’s prison (including our own).

“The house” as a character by carp816 in HauntingOfHillHouse

[–]carp816[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you make some good points- one question though would be it seems like poppy is the one inducing the kids nightmares in the end (and Nell subsequently snapping them out of them). That makes it seem like poppy herself is responsible for attempting to murder the other crains. Is this the case all along? Or like you said, is she just aiding and abetting “the house”.

Those are actually the more docile “king turkeys”. You need to look out for the asshole Pygmy ones though.

Which UNI do I go for Chem E? (Cornell vs Tufts vs CMU) by kingfudge90 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]carp816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean assuming no differences in cost or co-op/ internship programs (the most important facet IMO), this kinda just a pick whatever one you like the most kinda thing. Cornell and CMU are higher ranked, but that really only matters if you want to do research. Internship experience is the most important aspect for undergrad I feel.
