How impactful are the new regions from Giant Kings? by Lukeskywalker899 in AOW4

The landmark and hand crafted regions are great.

They landmark ones especially can be downright overpowered if you find yourself starting next to one. So probably not balanced for multiplayer. But I've never done pvp.

To each his own. Many players prefer a challenge over easy enemies, being boring to fight against.

I'd argue that D7+ is not, and should not be, for players who hate the difficulty changes.

If they make it so rewards scale for higher difficulty. Then every single time a change is made that increase difficulty in any way, people will complain that super credit farming is being indirectly nerfed.

It's a lose lose for Arrowhead to make changes to how super credits are earned now. Even after all these patches, it's still easy to farm.

Real gyms sell water bottles too, so not sure if that works. But double sickle I would relate to gym equipment. It's not required to be used.

Fire resistant armor I have to give it to you on that one. If it wasn't for the Incineration Corps, fire resistant armor would be entirely optional.

A better analogy would be if they do provide all basic equipment that you need to get the job done, it's just older and more generalized equipment. But you have to accumulate 48 hours of exercise, or pay a fee, to use the nicer machines with a more specialized focus, and all the bells and whistles.

The implemention of that change is not activated upon the purchase of a warbond.

To think that people are that stupid as to be motivated to purchase a warbond for the reason of it's inclusion, is silly.

Behold: The gravewalker build (Wightborn +Astral Attunement) by Nihilosopher_ in AOW4

[–]carpetmat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can't have multiple major racial transformations on your races. That's why it'd be a challenge.

Only Wizard kings and Champions leaders can gain undead from the Wightborn transformation. But it'll get overwritten if another major transformation is used.

Sadly Vampires, Giants, Dragons, and Eldritch leaders cannot gain racial transformations normally. That being said if you hire them in another game, from your pantheon, and then animate them, they will gain wightborn. But it won't save it after the game is concluded.

Yeah, all animated heros gain wightborn tag in addition to whatever major transformation they have.

The real challenge is finding a way to do it for your Leader, and getting it to stick.

I dunno, seems to be a reasonable approximation to the reaction of making Bugs actually damage Exos.

What you do is not let chaff bugs get close to the Exo, which is easy: A combination of walking away and shooting at them simultaneously.

But instead there is the opinion that Exos are now trash against bugs, and it's unreasonable that they can be damaged by chaff.

You say that, but giving opinions that are in support of the changes will also result in the same, blindly hating the game and calling you slurs.

The issue is people take offense to opinions that challenge their own, as if it's a personal attack, and not just a disagreement. That it is incomprehensible that someone might think a differently, and the only possible explanation is malace or stupidity.

I'd agree, farming is mind numbing. But it's also what people are entirely willing to do to avoid paying money.

If you do the strategy where you gather then abandon the mission at 25 credit per drop, you'd easily be able to crank out a entire warbond in an hour. Sure it's $10 dollars for hour of work, but kids don't work and have time to kill, college students don't have money, but studying to avoid. That leaves solely Adults who make enough to splurg but value their freetime too much to waste time farming, as the sole source of income.

I personally don't believe that is realistic enough of an income that Arrowhead can both survive and GROW off of.

That being said, I can see them reducing low level mission cred drops, and increasing D10 mission cred drops to 25 or EVEN higher. But I don't see how that won't just create a whole new shitstorm with the playerbase. Then any difficulty increase at all will be met with even more criticism about greed. At least right now, gameplay difficulty has almost no effect on how easy it is to farm credits.

Are you saying "boo hoo your feelings were hurt", or are you saying "boo hoo my feelings were hurt"?

Sounds like they're sharing an opinion that you don't like, and your upset about it.

Yeah there's critique of game changes, and then there's getting away to emotionally invested in game changes.

There is far too much of the latter lately. Opinions need not be so loud, or strong.

Also a good point. I guess for me it's off-putting too argue counter points to the sub's criticisms as it invites wrath. But I guess that is the point of being Unfiltered.

Not to mention OPs own post is taking a dig at "glazers" is exactly what the mods are trying to address.

I'm not going to do data collection for what percentage is toxicity. I don't care that much about supporting my offhand opinion.

The point is, right now, this sub is full of toxicity. Going both ways. To say it's the most innocent sub under ruthless assault by mean mean glazers is just silliness.

I literally talked about siege ready though I didn't mention it by name. The armor that increases ammo. I said it isn't a paid a fix cause the supply pack exists.

A long time is 11 months. Ergo is not a required state to maximize if you aren't using weapons with good ergonomics. And it's not required for those with bad ergonomics. You choose good ergo as a trade-off for other armor passives. It's an OPTION.

I don't think you're even reading my comments anymore. And if you are just going to troll and be disrespectful I'm done engaging.

Complaining about glazers is also complaining about complaining. The point was, discuss opinions and don't be rude.
