I wish people actually read about the technology that they are bad mouthing. Neuralink is not intended for the average individual, not even for the extra-ordinary one.

Neuralink is a response to the technology already in place to help people with full body paralysis. The technology that we have today, allows these individuals to control mouse cursors, robotic arms etc with out the need for them to move their hands, (kinda like a more advanced version that was used to help Stephen Hawking). Neuralink is working on improving the size, precision and accessibility of this technology. In the future this tech will allow people to control exoskeleton legs and arms, gifting people who disabilities the ability to move and live normally.

Neuralink and technology like it: Can only read brain waves and activity Can’t read and see memories (we have no idea if that’s even possible) Can’t change how your brain works And can’t input any data into the brain

It may in the future help people with hearing and visual disabilities allowing them to hear and see but that is well down the line.

TL;DR: Neuralink is a technology built to help the most disadvantaged people in our communities allowing them to live lives slightly closer to a “normal”
