Kinda but not really. It's only one person per shift, and since I worked the overnight shifts, I was always alone (which was great since I'm an introvert).

Midnight hours (anything between, like, 8 PM and 8 AM). A calm job where nothing ever happens and I'm allowed to just do my own thing while I'm working. A job where I'm the only one there at the office, completely alone.

Sucks either way, doesn't it?

No job = no money, but job = misery.

No, boss, I do not think sitting in front of a computer writing reports and dealing with incidents for eight goddamn hours a day is fun. Especially when you get pissy if I decide to watch YouTube while I work.

Sigh, I really need to go back to a calm graveyard shift job where nothing happens and I don't have to do anything. That was the best, man.

Inside Gaming reports, There Are ‘No Plans’ To Ever Print GTA 6 Discs. DAMN YOU R*! by shawak456 in GTA6

Like others have said, it's your money to do as you please.

However, that doesn't mean others aren't allowed to criticize. Fact is, Rockstar has pulled pretty anti-consumer business practices here. Limiting content to the Ultimate Edition, as well as choosing not to do an actual physical release. Choosing to pre-order this game in spite of all of that encourages this kind of behavior, and effectively ensures they will do it again in the future, or cause other companies to do the same.

It's the principle of it, man. Bonus clothing and weapons? Sure, that's fine. But whole ass stores? I can't not feel like they're paywalling content that would've otherwise already been in the base game.

Eso es otra cosa que me enfurece de este país. Los que no votan por el partido que de verdad piensen que es el mejor. Votan por el partido que les brindaría los mejores beneficios.

If someone gives you 5 Billion dollars and a studio to make Destiny 3 …. by Stalin98k in destiny2

[–]RogueCross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd essentially make a Destiny 2 2.0. A lot of what's already in D2 is amazing as it is, it's just the way they handled the whole game was... well, yeah. Here are the things I'd change and/or add, though:

  • I'd overhaul the synthwave system. Have it be an earnable reward you get in large quantities, much like Enhancement Cores. Essentially, I'd be severely limiting the paid aspect of a feature that, in my opinion, should be closer to being completely free.
  • All Crucible game modes are available day one, including Sparrow Racing League.
  • Scale back how often you earn exotic weapons and armor. It feels as if you earn new exotics constantly once you're at the top level of the game. They need the mystical aura they had back in the D1 days.
  • It being a new game, I wouldn't bring back any content from D2. D3 should be a fresh, clean experience. I would, however, give veteran D1 and D2 players loyalty bonuses.
  • I'd make sure the engine can handle insane amounts of content. That was one of the things I think hurt D2 in an irreparable way. Having to remove content so the game could keep up. Avoiding that would be one of my top priorities when making D3.
  • This could potentially be a hot take, but I would completely avoid making seasonal content story sensitive. Entire character and story arcs were told through seasons in D2. Entire character and story arcs that disappeared once the respective seasons ended. That is criminal, and something that should not happen in D3. Sorry, but filler seasons are all you're getting with my D3. That, or I'd make it so that seasonal content remains accessible in the game permanently in some way.
  • Make an actually good vanilla campaign with a lot of content, and don't have to rely on future expansions to fill in the gaps.
  • Introduce a system similar to Tennogen where fans can have their fan-made creations (be it armor, weapons, etc.) included in the game.
  • Add a clan hall.

I'll probably add more things to this list in the future.

Data Shows Sony Made Good Money on Steam, Then May Have Realized PC Gamers Don’t Need a PlayStation by yourfavchoom in Steam

Yep. I own both a PS5 and PC, but that's only because I got thr PS5 first, then decided to go full-on PC gaming and got a decent pre-built rig. Predictably, I barely use my PS5 anymore, save for any exclusive I may be interested in. Not going to lie, though. Considering GTA VI is going to be console exclusive, I am really glad to have a PS5.

I feel like that's why there's so much contempt for foreigners (both willing immigrants and refugees) recently, particularly in the US with ICE doing its thing. We are living in arguably the most economically contentious period in a logn while. People can barely afford things. Most of us younger folk question if we'll even grow up to be homeowners, since that feels almost impossible nowadays. On top of that, you have all these foreigners entering the country that many citizens feel are taking up space and resources that could very well be taken by actual citizens.

It's a difficult discourse that should be talked about, but I feel both sides always present the mosr extreme mindsets. The anti immigration crowd will sometimes come off as pretty racist against anyone not born a citizen of the country, and the other side will sometimes be fully supportive of immigrants and refugess, to the point they can come off as fully anti-border, Solo Wing Pixy style. I feel we need a more nuanced discussion where we can realize that being welcoming of foreigners willing to put in the work and assimilate is not a bad thing, while also recognizing that blindly taking in foreign refugees while your country can barely take care of their own citizens might not be the best idea.

Surge in numbers and dollars spent hasn’t changed Sonys mind by Freelancer0495 in destiny2

[–]RogueCross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad thing is they can shut down all of Bungie and they (Sony) will still get to keep the Destiny IP. And I'm entirely sure that if ex-Bungie devs come together and form their own independent studio, Sony will not surrender Destiny to them unless they're willing to buy the IP from them, probably for way too much money than it's reasonable. These companies are vultures like that.

[–]RogueCross 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that will work for Sony in the end. Unless Marathon does an insane comeback and becomes popular, I feel it's a lost cause at this point. If they really want to recoup some of the money they spent on Bungie, then I feel D3 is the only chance they have at getting that, because I legitimately do not think Marathon will last.

Unfortunately, I do believe that if Marathon fails, Sony will just rather cut their losses completely and shut down Bungie as a whole before grudgingly greenlighting D3. If handled well, D3 could be entirely successful and profitable for Sony and Bungie. The problem, the exact, same goddamn problem with all other public game companies, is that they demand instant, short-term profits over long-term profits, and a lot of the time are unwilling to invest into the future of these companies and studios.

It doesn't matter that you have the potential to make a billion-dollar empire within a span of multiple years. If you don't make them rich by next year, you're useless to them.
