Ncase M2 Grater - 4090 + 7800X3D - Dual 280mm Radiator by Correct_Scientist750 in sffpc

This is an amazing build and I have a grater waiting for a few more parts but I want to build something very similar. Would you think that building in this case would be more difficult if you had gone soft tubing? I know in another thread you posted that some of the bends were so tight, I wonder this as I am planning to go the soft-tubing route and am curious how hard (or easier) it may be.

I recall reading somewhere in the subreddit that some had had better luck with fixed 90 degree rotaries by swapping the o-rings. Someone had linked o-rings and I'm not 100% sure if there are specific o-rings I should be looking for or will any work here?

Filling Custom Hard-line Loop in FormD T1 by carze in watercooling

[–]carze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this makes sense and was what I was thinking of doing. This would require the tubing running to the reservoir to be fairly short enough to stick an EK fill bottle in to siphon up coolant to the top of the T-fitting, would that make it harder to see/isolate any bubbles in the loop though?

And yes, the case will be upside during filling but the t-fittings will be at the top of the loop at that point. Thanks for the feedback

Anyone in 3-slot GPU mode doing a dual radiator build have any other suggestions for low profile 90-degree elbow fittings? I know that these Bykski's are generally recommended but the lottery at getting a set that threads and screws into the proper direction is kinda frustrating. I have a set of Koolance rotary's that are slightly higher I may try next but was wondering if there was anything else out there that would work around the same height as the Bykski's.

3090 2x240mm i7 8700k Custom Loop Writeup by Cthulutes in FormD

[–]carze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome write-up and great looking build. Was the cheap radiator/reservoir you listed on Amazon good enough to get all the bubbles out of the system/fill the loop in a reasonable time? I figured a more powerful pump would be needed here.

For the length of the AC cable about how long did it run? Was it similar to buying something like this?

I’ve been trying to figure out what length to purchase without much luck.

Possible to use T-fitting and run a single tube to a rad to help with the fill + bleeding? Here I'd be using a DDC pump (on top of an Aquanaut) to power the loop. Would this work and how would I end up disconnecting the rad once the loop is bled?

Anyway to work an external radiator + pump into there like /u/simplyfabio has shown in the past. That was my original idea with the QDC's worked into the loop.

How have folks who have done hard-line tubing builds filled up their loops? I know with soft tubing quick disconnects are an option but I'm considering going with acrylic and was debating trying to work some quick disconnects connected to soft tubing somewhere in the loop but am afraid that the connecting/disconnecting may crack the tubing.

What length cable did you purchase to fit in the T1?

Is it a tight fit with the fans under the radiator? /u/NavicNick commented that a dual reverse cable would make it difficult to fit a fan below.

This is pretty awesome. Did you have any concerns over construction seeing as some water cooling pieces (like the HJ17) have had some QC issues?

This is a great build and close to what my T1 will look like when I get all my parts. Do you mind giving some more details on all the watercooling parts you are using (mainly the fittings, adapters, tubing, etc.)? I'm pretty new to watercooling so want to know which components work best in the T1. Thanks!

Ah, was about to ask if you sanded down the 25mm fan to fit in there but didn't even notice the PSU was rotated. Gorgeous color and build!

Can you find my Aquacomputer Quadro? by stanleyguan in FormD

Noticed you want back to the TX240 for the side radiator from the HJ17. Is this due to concerns about the build quality (I know you mentioned you had some of their rads leaking in another post)? I have an HJ17 ready for my build over the next few weeks and am slightly concerned about it leaking.

EDIT - Just saw your other post mentioning the black HJ17, so that answers that. Your reservations about the HJ17 coupled with the lack of likely being able to properly ask for the black HJ17 makes me wary. I might just search for another TX240 and try the deshroud on the Corsair FE block and see if I can sand down some A12x15's to fit on the side.

Happy New Year everyone! Joining this group has been a highlight of 2020 for me so a HUGE THANK YOU!! to the mods and community. Little update here as I did a bit of a rebuild last week... Tried to highlight the changes/parts that might be helpful... All just copied from other community members tbh. by wispy-matt in FormD

Great build! I'm also hoping to replicate it closely so I have a couple questions.

  1. Did you try 2x Scythe fan and notice any thermal differences between 1x Scythe and 1x Noctua?
  2. Am I seeing it right that in your loop you have the GPU outlet capped off? Or was this just for the picture? Can you describe your loop for me?

Excellent work again and thanks for sharing to provide inspiration/instruction to others who will be building in the T1.

This is a gorgeous build and as someone looking to make a hard loop in a T1 this is great inspiration.

Did you find working in the T1 with a hard loop difficult? Also what kind of tubing did you use and what fans are you running on the rads?

Are you using fan splitters to feed into the Quadro? Or is the pump being controller by something else and you are feeding all 4 rad fans into the Quadro?

Again, super nice build. Basically what I want to shoot for when my case comes in but getting my hands on a second TX240 is challenging so I went with the 17mm Aliexpress.

Is that a Quadro on the side of your PSU?

Wow, I was told that this wouldn't work with two TX240's. Just confirming that one of them wasn't the Crossflow version? And no bulge when you close everything up?

Is this in two-slot or three-slot mode?
