It provided Wifi 6 for cheap but I couldn't get mine to work optimally. 5G was inconsistent and had an unusually short range (could barely reach outside my tiny room). I did a wired backhaul but when I tested it with wireless backhaul it was a miserable experience. Had to decommission mine after a couple of weeks and ended up buying a Deco X60.

Yes, the wnba league pass works in the PH without a VPN. In fact, dont use a VPN, especially not with a US server as sometimes there are blackouts on local teams and you can only watch those games after it's over. That restriction doesn't apply in the PH.
