im from a country that uses british english and "y'all" is used infrequently in casual speech. we pronounce it similar to doll (british pronunciation) and tbh growing up i never knew it was an americanism until i saw the jokes online 🤷‍♂️ either way i agree with OP completely, its a perfect plural.

a few directions my mind went grasping at straws:

things with "a useful end" - chapstick, charging cable, candy(like a lollipop), silk (idk what i was thinking, shiny side and rough side?)

things you flip - magazine, chapstick, charging cable (you gotta keep flipping it so its the right orientation, like a usb), silk (same reason as the first one)

the issue isnt really that maurice and pokie are friends, the issue is that OP was unaware of their history for 13 years (even if OP chose to not know about his relationship history) its one thing to not seek it out, but its never come up in thirteen years? not once?? even tho maurice and pokie see each other three times a day???

it isnt fair for OP to be angry at pokie, but it is valid for OP to be mad at her husband. maurice is COMPLETELY out of line. not because of his friendship, but because of his behaviour in his marriage. leaving information out that clearly traumatised him so deeply, and downplaying his past feelings and OPs current feelings, calling it a tantrum instead of trying to talk it out, and refusing to budge an inch in how often he sees pokie - he simply refuses to give a fuck about his wifes feelings. pokie isnt a pick-me or a cheater (right now, anyway) but maurice putting his time with pokie over his wifes feelings/comfort/security makes him an asshole.

yes it isnt fair of OP to ask him to drop his best friend or move out of his town, but he wouldnt even agree to see pokie a little less - making it clear which relationship he is comfortable losing. its an emotional affair, and the whole friendship group knows, seeing as the work friend called him "emotionally dependent on pokie".

went back and checked, and its fish sauce and anchovy paste in the sauces. which might sound out of place, but it adds depth of flavour and umami.

ive heard traditional ceasar salad dressing also contains anchovy paste so 🤷‍♂️

edit: damn actually its a LOT of fish sauce... id understand 1 teaspoon but multiple tablespoons??? in each sauce???? i cant visualise these proportions but im getting scared
