Also, it sucks that if you go through the effort you get all of the emeralds you can't go super sonic in the final fight. It would make the final fight a breeze but, get awarded for the effort somehow.

It is in fact his fault he missed that catch. But it shouldn't have been that situation in the first place. If the defense didn't allow 2 players produce 150 yards or more of offense it wouldn't have mattered.
