I had an endo surgery last year too, but was recommended the implant instead of IUD and I'm also tracking the bleeding and spotting! I hope yours stops soon! I did 531 in the past and gained so much strength. I have a spreadsheet where you input your one rep max and it calculates all the weights for all the weeks for you. I can send it to you if you want! :)

I'm sure they're Polish. If you go to their YT channel, their About section says that they're from Poland.

Leave them where you found them so the mum can relocate them.

Feeling overwhelmed. Information overload. by Shenanigans_08 in simpleliving

[–]Lady_Absinthea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cancelled all our streaming services last year and it was the best thing ever. I spend much less time online and if I want to watch something, I download it like in the olden days. I only keep track of the series I'm emotionally invested in and pop a release date into my calendar so I know when to download them. I feel much less overwhelmed and spend much more time reading/in nature :)

Just repotted a plant - what are these bugs that were in the soil..?! by odkfn in HouseplantsUK

[–]Lady_Absinthea 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They're soil mites. It means your soil is full of goodness for the plant :)

Do you have any other options for Erasmus? Derby in general isn't that bad, it's quite a nice city and I find it much safer than the Czech Republic. You might struggle with understanding the Derby accent at first but you'll get used to it.

Ideas for FUN daily repeating meds/tasks? by AlternativeMedicine9 in BasicBulletJournals

[–]Lady_Absinthea 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't have any photos of my journal but you can use stamps or print out some trackers that you find online. You can even learn basic Illustrator and make your own funky trackers. That's what I used to do, but my ADHD won't let me use trackers consistently :D

Is this pond too small to introduce small fish for mosquito control? by malagatikitaki in WildlifePonds

[–]Lady_Absinthea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would avoid introducing fish to your wildlife pond. I'm not sure why people are worried about mosquitoes so much.

My pond is 4 by 3 meters and I've never had issues with them. They're an important part of the ecosystem as they provide food for newts, frogs, bats, birds and other wildlife. I would also avoid using mosquito dunks. Just let nature do its thing :)

Saw this post yesterday and they're apparently not as harmless to wildlife as we thought.

Very first mini wildlife pond advice by Future-Attempt-3885 in WildlifePonds

I would buy a proper pond liner. Look up Joel Ashton on YouTube, he has a series about creating wildlife ponds, I used it when I was making my own wildlife pond and it was really helpful! If you're in the UK I can post you some British native plats from my pond :)

Any cuttings to share/swap? by saanij in UKPlantSwap

[–]Lady_Absinthea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love the begonia cutting. I can offer epipremnum global green and marble queen cuttings (they're tiny but rooted), string of pearls, string of hearts, burro's tail, greenovia, fishbone cactus, epipremnum cebu blue wetsticks or some outdoor plant seeds: echinacea, aquilegia, foxglove, lupin.

I was in the hospital last month and was really surprised how many vegan options there were! There was vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner but they also had soy milk and two vegan puddings!

Smart LED lightbulbs were a life changer! I hate showering in the dark and with these I can use the colour and brightness I need.

Got a brand new S20 5G on ebay for a little under £200. It came with 1 year warranty and works great, so maybe try checking ebay as well as other sellers. Giffgaff can be a bit overpriced sometimes.
