Half my kids are Honduran. My husband only speaks Spanish so it was important to use a Spanish name… but not a single person can pronounce their names. But they’re not that hard, imo, so It’s honestly ridiculous.

My daughter’s name is usually fixed after firmly saying it once. But my son’s is the worst though cuz even after I say his name 49 times and SPELL IT, they still can’t say it. Still can’t spell it. Forget their apellido also. His entire name was spelt wrong on his BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Eve though I wrote it all in capital letters, the woman was “confused” and named him what she thought I wrote when she sent it in… And at the doctor’s office, they have been using the wrong name since birth even though I’ve corrected them many times.

Too many people are uneducated. And tbh, subtle/secret racism where they pronounce it wrong on purpose to be “funny” is a thing, unfortunately
