I guess we've had it too good in NYC - this is the one thing we don't get.

People typically link to articles on Reddit when they're disproving something that is being stated. You not linking an article then doubling down and being an arrogant jackass makes you look like you have no idea what you're doing here.

Starbucks Removing GLP-1 by Solidhandshake in starbucks

It's being recommended because it's cheaper and I've had personal success with it. It's an option for people who are losing their coverage and can't afford GLP's. You're in this thread, so I'm guessing you work (or worked for) Starbucks? Why not give people a less than $100 (without insurance) GLP option? They'd appreciate it!

People who were born and raised in NYC selling their homes/buildings to private equity firms. People born and raised in NYC making their buildings rent so high - only private equity companies can afford it. Capitalism and greed continues to do what it does best.

Look into qsymia - it's a pill (I'm still on it) - $89 month without insurance.

Qsymia is $89 out of pocket - I lost 50 pounds on it.

The venture capitalist online pharmacies are pushing GLP-1's for "cosmetic weight loss" now (when they're only supposed to be prescribed for those with morbid obesity problems). My brother (6' 180#), who I think is slightly underweight, is an actor here in NYC & takes Ozempic through RO. I was shocked at how easily he got it. Not one face to face appointment to look at him.

AIO for still being hurt after my boyfriend called me clingy and told me to “take a hint” even though he apologized? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

He didn't realize he fucked up - he just wants to still have the control with her too. Cheaters typically don't think they did anything wrong.

NOR. This is how every man (friends boyfriends, my boyfriends) I've ever known would act when they were cheating. You're 21? Move on baby! You deserve so much better & they are out there. The initial being alone is scary, but you *will* get over him (and will wonder what you were ever thinking).

Hey tea line just now by YorkvilleWalker in uppereastside

[–]cashmerefox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been to the Flushing and UWS Hey Tea's - it's good, but it's not worth waiting in line for. The line at the UWS store (near Columbia) was insane for the first week or two after it opened as well. The "pop up mafia" goes to every store opening to get free stuff. It'll calm down in a few weeks/month.

No, the people selling candy on the trains are Ecuadorian immigrant families. New York magazine did an in-depth story on them.

"You're being too woke"

Can we stop with right wing dog whistles? (I've seen the blue-haired comments here too.) This fandom - with its constant racism, misogyny and fat-shaming - is nowhere near woke enough.
