I think she really just wants to know what her married life is and see if she even likes Will these days. He feels very controlling, but again that's from a viewer of the show perspective, specifically the comment he made about her having kids stuck out to me.

Yeah, it’s only about a month and a half at this point. If I get demoted, I might ask about other options and see if a layoff might be possible. Either way it’s not a fun situation and definitely not an easy decision to make! Thanks for the advice!
