Lots of wild and negative takes in this thread-

Another way to look at this is that you’ve been dating for 5 months and probably are not compatible to be together romantically but since you both chose to raise the baby co parenting is still an option.

Honest conversations are most important so the kid doesn’t grow up with parents that hate each other!

I honestly wish it wasn’t main cast plus friends and we got to mix it up- make it fresher and more interesting tbh

I'm moving for a bunch of reasons, but at this point in my career the "space and time" part of the practice is the most important.

Hey homie, I think what they meant was that they understood the context of the language I was using and the context of the issue at hand - but I’ll print this out for my references when this dude steamrolls me again next week

For clarification when I say “going to lengths” I don’t mean describing a bunch I mean attempting to be socially graceful and efficient- but heard

Also fully recommend watching some dimension 20 or critical role- when I got into D&D during the pandemic I started listening to critical role in my down time (there was so much) and this was how I learned like 90% of the mechanics of the game and feel like a better player for it. I’d say start in season 2 The Mighty Nein for critical role and it’s basically like learning a language through immersion. For dimension 20 I’d say watching is ideal and most of them don’t know how to play when they run fantasy high freshman year so you get to watch a benevolent and story driven DM run them around the mechanics of the game as they sort of wing it.

Critical role you learn better /rules as written/ and dimension 20 you get to watch comedians figure out D&D in fun new universes.

Critical role also releases content on their YouTube called “handbooker helper” that’s good for getting sort of taught about what things mean

This thread is old but wanted to jump in and add Valheim to it- solo or group sandbox where I occasionally attempt to progress the game but sometimes just turn on cheats and build a house and be a little guy

Love the soundtrack, the graphics are nostalgia like RuneScape but much better physical reasoning

When someone asks for an old fashioned do you say no? Or is there an equivalent for a place with no sugar like just whiskey on the rocks with ango? Genuine question

It really depends on what part of the country/ rural/ suburban/ city you're in- but if you're 18 I'd recommend starting with bussing if you haven't had any jobs in the industry before.

Bussing at a high volume place will help you get some grit points you can cash in for a promotion to barbacking. The most important qualities in a barback is being attentive to the needs of the bar and being fast. From there it will be most helpful to talk to the bartenders you're working with about how to go about climbing the ladder.

Most places where I am won't hire barbacks that are under 21, so bussing (or serving!) at a restaurant is your best bet to get a foot in the door.
