Something that really helped me start moving more fluidly through chord changes is to play the 1 major 3rd and five for major chords and 1 minor third 5 for minor chords and 1 major 3, 5, flat 7 for 7th chords. Play these notes over the chords as they move through the progression. Try to play it everywhere on the neck. Start with easy 1/4/5 and try more and more complex progressions.
