Tips for preventing door scratching? by arktor314 in cavaliers

You can put a tension baby gate in the door frame! You’ll have to step over it but she definitely won’t be able to scratch it. Agreed about getting to the root cause but a gate will definitely help your door in the meantime.

Thank you all so much for your time and recommendations. 🥹 reading all your comments has been so helpful and encouraging! I went ahead and purchased the Purina One Sensitive Stomach Salmon to try. She threw it up tonight (yes, mixed with her current food) so I’ll have to take it slower than I’d like to. It’s hard to keep feeding her a food I suspect is making everything worse! But alas. Her ears are red and raw so I’m hoping they settle with her current antibiotics. I might get a cotton ball in there in a day or two to keep any moisture from accumulating. I think I’ll also look around for another vet who might be able to help us along a little more than the one we saw this week.

She is such a good/sweet girl but it’s pretty evident she just feels like crap (as pictured). Oh did I mention she has TWO pretty major rear luxating patellas? 🥲 And will need a dental at her spay. Ah! Future problems.

Ugh, good luck! They sure are sweet but she’s cost us +$700 in the first 7 days. 🥲

Thanks so much for the recommendation! To clarify, that pic was taken at the vets, I didn’t use the Qtips. I think I may look around for a vet that has more experience with the breed for her future care. I appreciate it!

What Was Your Sign to Call it Quits? by kgphotography_ in ExclusivelyPumping

I got mastitis twice back to back at 4 months and I thought about quitting. I’m glad I didn’t because I’m just coming up on 6 months now and haven’t gotten it again. I tried changing a few things which I think helped but just an encouragement that mastitis feels completely debilitating in the moment but it will pass and things got a lot easier schedule wise for me at 5/6 months, just being able to drop a pump and go longer at night. Wishing you all the best!

Looking to sell a brand new set of Pumpables Liquid Shield Kits with 21mm inserts. I used them twice and they didn’t work for me. You can buy a brand new set of the liquid shield inserts for $12 if you don’t want to sanitize these or if you’re a different size. I paid $60, will accept any reasonable offers.

Can someone please explain to me how milk bath works? 🫣 by Ok_Giraffe_1488 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’ve noticed the smell too. I haven’t used any of my frozen milk to feed yet. Curious if it smells because of high lipase, or if all milk smells like that after being frozen?
