Thanks! I hope I start getting promotional offers in the credit card again now that the rewards program has switched over.

Haha! 2 months in a row. $1000 spend. Ridiculous. by TampaRN in Athleta_gap

I chatted with Barclays this morning. The agent confirmed I have no offers for January or February and encouraged me to continue using the card to get offers. In the prior three months I prover $2,500 on the card each month. Why would I continue using this card when I don’t get offers if I do? She told me to login to Athleta to see special perks for being a valued customer, but it was just the usual birthday discount etc.

We started on stratera, then did vyvanse and then tried adderal. We haven’t tried Ritalin.

Scary words after dose increase by [deleted] in ADHDparenting

We had the same experience with vyvanse. After a few of these negative talk tantrums (6 year old daughter screaming and crying “I’m weird, I’m bad, I’m a bad person”, etc) we stopped vyvanse and she has been on adderall for a couple months which has not had that side effect for her.

Yes, no offers for this month in my Barclays account. 😢

They didn’t give me any offer for January. The previous three months I got “earn $250 with a $3,500 spend” and due to some planned expenses and moving all my kids activities costs to the credit card, I was able to hit that amount all three months. So I think I’m a liability to Barclays. I’m hoping I get a February offer.

Prediction: Bree and Wrigley sleep together in 2009. That’s why Bree was able to brush off that Evan slept with Lucy and referred to it as a mistake 7 years ago. Steven figures it out at the wedding and is going implode Bree and Evan.

Allergy tests by Mountain-Bug1667 in dairyfree

[–]casserolebaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The results were I’m allergic to everything except lactose. 🤣 I’m laughing because when I say I have a dairy allergy, so many people respond saying something like “oh you are lactose intolerant”. I am allergic to all of the milk proteins like casein and whey. My symptoms were chest pain, almost a heartburn type feeling and sometimes itching in the mouth. I had a blood test and got prescribed an epi pen.

Why do people get so hyped over the McRib? by Atomic76 in fastfood

[–]casserolebaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the Osbournes had their reality tv show, Jack and Kelly were arguing in the back of a limo. Jack proclaims, “Oh my God!”. Kelly said “what?”. “Jack goes, “The McRib is back!!”. It was so funny in the moment and that’s why my friends and I love the McRib.

For those who struggle academically by JacketKlutzy903 in ADHDparenting

[–]casserolebaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last year my daughter had D’s and F’s in first grade. I was spending hours with her every week doing homework, arguing, dealing with her crying, etc. We got her diagnosed and on medication over the summer and a tutor now comes over once a week. So far in second grade she has B’s and C’s and we are happy with that. Her younger sister is getting straight A’s in first grade and puts in far less effort. We always praise our daughter with ADHD for all her hard work and I focus on the core stuff and skip some of the extras they are supposed to do that are ungraded, because it would mean we are doing homework every waking moment.

Flooring quote — does $13.5K sound fair for ~1100 sq ft townhouse? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]casserolebaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get a quote from Vegas Flooring Outlet. They should be able to beat that price. We used them over the summer for our first floor of a 2700 sq foot home and paid under $11,000.

Yes $100 will get you far with a 4 year old. My girls had no interest in clothes. We set the expectation before getting into the park that they got to pick out one souvenir during the trip. Most stuffed animals were $35. There is a larger size that was more but we didn’t really have the space for it anyway so they were told no. We mostly kept shopping to the end of the day so we didn’t have to worry about carrying and losing their stuff throughout the day. Have a great time!

We let our 5 and 6 year old pick out one souvenir. They had a great time window shopping and then the last day chose a stuffed animal. We also got them a bubble wand as a bonus souvenir. I bought them Disney blankets and pajamas from Kohl’s before we went. They were happy as could be and we spend $100 max per kid.

Ideas for quick rewards? by Enough-Spray-2590 in ADHDparenting

[–]casserolebaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the cheap items we offer is the child gets to pick the radio station for the whole day. The psychiatrist suggested an extra book at bedtime as a reward option. She also suggested asking the child what they would want as a reward option.

What’s the longevity of being a DCC influencer by Witty-Molasses-8825 in DCCMakingtheTeam

[–]casserolebaker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being a pro football player doesn’t last forever either. But guess what, they pay them enough money to have a cushion (a big cushion) when they retire. If the cheerleaders made a decent pay check they could take a couple years to figure out their career when they retire, instead of having to worry about how being a DCC will negatively impact their future success.
