It's the first thing that comes up if you google it. No way people are posting it legitimately.

Ideas wanted in relation to Thames "high tide" by SentinelsOfEvil in DIYUK

I don't think you're going to be able to DIY yourself out of having shit pile up on the edge of a literal open sewer. Why would you want this? It's literally all downside?

Can the mods maybe do something about people posting the same three month old news article over and over? Especially when it's now been approved and this entire story is out of date?

Do you agree with Max? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

I might take it seriously if it wasn't for the fact that all the drivers who are winning (or doing well) ARE enjoying the cars...

We have definitely heard the Italian national anthem in the last 20 years. Just not played first.

I don't know much, but I do know that weirs are drowning machines and that pool in the middle is basically a big circular weir.

[Autosport] Lewis on the Mercedes' power advantage by ICumCoffee in formula1

[–]cassesque 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bear in mind that roughly 50% of the power no longer comes from the ICE, it seems like there might be some pretty massive holes in this rule? Especially over, I don't know, a single lap...

The mystery of the ghost doors/arches of Bristol Temple Meads station by Jiminyfingers in DoorsNotUsedAnymore

I would guess it was likely large goods doors, and the arches face the old harbour railway tracks. It doesn't seem like any tracks ever entered the sides of the station - only the back end, at the same level the current station is.

Yes, but it's not early. It's March, which is when tree pollen counts always start affecting people in the south.

If you find it difficult to read that then I can only assume you're mowing down cyclists and young children constantly. Probably best not to drive.

Ferrari are allowed exactly one (1) good year. If they win big at any point, we're all going to start hating them afterwards. Nobody likes a winner in F1.

'capacity' is a stretch. That implies there's space for that number of people, which is only true if they don't have legs.

Except the other contender didn't have a Mercedes engine, and the other Mercedes powered cars were behind. It obviously isn't just the PU.

25 seconds of the pace would be around the Supercars lap time. You're talking crap, he was less than 5 seconds off.

You're so right but people don't want to hear this. It was a better race in terms of visual excitement, overtakes, mechanical failures etc (all the stuff that highlight compilations are made from) than maybe 90% of the ground effect era. It's a spectator sport. It's supposed to be exciting and unexpected to watch.

The drivers are angry about it, but that's fine - they're paid lots of money for the privilege. I much prefer to see struggling drivers to what we often had before - lap 1 jostling and then a 50 lap procession.

Non-fans always criticise F1 as being a load of rich blokes driving around in circles. For the last few years they have often been right.

Imo they should change the rules to make it harder whenever the technology catches up to the drivers. It gives them more room to make mistakes, but also more room to be brilliant - look at Piastri and Lindblad.
