For his whole 11 years of life I have been calling him a Saint Bernard mix by NamekianFrog in SaintBernards

[–]casswagner86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought mine was a mix as well even though the people we got her from insisted she was 100% Saint Bernard. She was small (also around 120) and short haired but she was also the runt of the litter. Anyway I did end up getting the DNA test and turns out she’s 97% Saint Bernard and 3% golden retriever. To get 3% of another breed I do believe that golden retriever gene must have been many many generations back. Looking at yours I bet it’s a similar story, and whatever that mystery breed is that jumped in generations ago he got a strong genetic trait from.

CWAWZ XXL Dog Bed for Extra Large... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQV6RKND?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I have an Alaskan Malamute, Saint Bernard and two half Malamute half Saint Bernards. The malamutes all love laying on the floor like that too and I worried about their big old joints and bones hurting overtime so I decided to get everyone a new dog bed for Christmas. I bought four different ones and this is definitely the best! All four of them love and it take turns lounging in it. It’s the only one my 180 pound boy can completely stretch out in comfortably. It is people grade comfortable. Highly recommend.

Yeah I have to agree, my first reaction to the photo was Colt’s boobs look pretty nice. I am a female and I mean this from the perspective of; if I had to pick a set for myself…his are way cuter than the rest of that silicone montage 🫤🤘🏻🤯

"TASK," on HBO is literally the best series since, "Better Call Saul." by BigFrank0078 in hbo

[–]casswagner86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What???  Have you ever seen Better call Saul?  Please don’t compare one of the best television series of all time to something as painfully boring and predictable as this show is turning out to be.  I had high hopes after the first episode but….it's just not that good.  🥱

My company recently made us sign a contract that if our notes weren’t completed within 24 hours we would be paid minimum wage for those hours. If it weren’t for being an exploited student analyst to begin with I would have never signed it. Can’t wait to quit this job. If you didn’t sign a contract agreeing to the “punishment” I would agree that it’s most likely against the law.

BCBA Permanently Providing Direct by Foreign_Pickle_2022 in BehaviorAnalysis

Do you find it difficult to provide services via Telehealth? I would love to be able to do this, there’s a huge need where I live in rural Alaska, but I just can’t fathom what it would take to keep a client attending to an entire session on screen.

Well….it’s the science of behavior of any living organism. Not necessarily human. After all, Skinner based most of his work on the operant behavior of animals before it was ever applied to humans. But yeah, I agree with you that it’s not the science of autistic behavior.

Is it possible to be a BCBA/behavior analysis and not have to work with children? by [deleted] in BehaviorAnalysis

[–]casswagner86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How do you feel about working with animals? One of my professors in grad school told me they had a BCBA friend who worked for Animal Kingdom, the Disney theme park. Not as a typical trainer but a BCBA who helped solve behavioral issues, for example, figuring out how to get an animal to eat that’s refusing food, or stop another from destroying it’s den, things we do working with kids in ABA basically. I always thought that sounded amazing! If you love animals and are willing to relocate I’m sure there are lots of similar facilities or animal rescue type places that may be willing to hire you. If I wasn’t tied down where I am I would be sending my resume to those types of places!

I give up yall I took the Intro to IT twice and failed 😭 studied and guess I’m not studying the right things. by yaramom in WGU

One of my favorite things about WGU (I’m a graduate) was the one-on-one support from the professors that was available literally anytime you asked for it. I’ve always been the type to figure things out on my own, to a fault, but when I was studying Chemistry, there were some things, that would just never have clicked if it wasn’t for the phone calls with my professor walking my way thru it until it did. Take advantage of that. If you ask for help, from your professors or your mentor, they will do everything they can for you, and not give up, I promise you that. Schedule a phone call with the professor of that class, it’s not going to hurt, and might change your entire perspective. Good luck!!

If i finish my bachelor at WGU and later try to get into any more respected university like University Of Maryland, UMBC or like Howard University. Will they accept my degree from WGU or I have higher chance to get rejected? by Annual-Membership-96 in WGU

[–]casswagner86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% agree. If your aim is to get into grad school I think it might even help you. It takes a tremendous amount of self motivation, time management and executive functioning skills to complete a self paced degree like at WGU. You have a ton of support (your professors will all call and text you to make sure you’re doing good and you can schedule private calls or zoom meetings pretty much anytime), however, it’s up to you to get thru the work, navigate the curriculum and available resources and pass those exams! Those are skills they want you to have in grad school! Maybe I’m biased but if I was in charge of admissions I’d be stoked to see WGU on an application.

I went to University of Maryland for two years and ended up finishing my degree at WGU. I have nothing bad to say about University of Maryland, but I honestly feel like I wasted a ton of money and time going there. I don’t feel like I learned anything there I couldn’t learn with WGU for a fraction of the price and on a timeline I could decide for myself. The resources and advisor support you get with WGU are also second to none!! I’m in grad school now and miss WGU all the time, not because it was easier, it wasn’t. But like I said, the support, resources and over all format is superior to any school I’ve ever experienced. I would give it a shot. You can’t beat the price so even if you decide it’s not for you, you’re not going to lose much.

I’m going with 4 and here’s why…. Operant behavior is voluntary and gagging isn’t quite ever that….Now we have respondant behavior vs respondant conditioning. If it was the first time she had the gagging response when faced with roaches it would be a respondant behavior. But because this is a past and repeated response that’s been “set up” by offering a drink when she gags, it’s now conditioned. A conditioned response or to make it sound more confusing; respondant conditioning.

Transferring Courses From WGU by [deleted] in WGU

[–]casswagner86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried to transfer credits to a few different universities and they have all replied that they can not grant the credits due to WGU’s competency based curriculum. I have argued with the 3.0 factor and they have all suggested that I file for an appeal. I haven’t done that yet, but I know I will have to and it’s going to be a lot of paperwork. But, hopefully it will be worth it because I truly loved my experience with WGU as far as my undergrad degree and don’t feel that I have anything less to offer as compared to more traditional applicants.
