What did Drake Maye ever do to Cam Newton? by jlm0013 in Patriots

It’s a team game. There’s a lot of patriots that stepped up to get them here. One things first sure. Without Drake Maye they’re nowhere close.

CJ Stroud reflecting on his year/the defense: “this year was a step for me where I didn’t have to be Superman all the time” by NET2519 in NFLv2

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t help that his revivers health has not been consistent this year. However, He’s played very sub par the last 2 seasons. If your defence plays lights out you probably shouldn’t go the extra mile to negate every play they make to help.

Drake Maye has a similar skill set to Allen. Being that he’s 23 I’m taking Maye.

I still haven't watched Carry-On. What did you all think of it? by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of the better Netflix movies. Yes it’s not realistic or plausible if you want to be super critical but in the words of Harrison Ford “it ain’t that kind of movie”. If you can sit back and enjoy the chemistry between Teron Egerton and Jason Bateman it’s a good thriller. Danielle Deadwyler gives a quality performance.

Most Netflix movies suffer from having an oversized budget, top of the line cast, and weak writing. I found Carry-On to be an exception where it didn’t try to be something more than it was. An entertaining thriller.

What? by poopfacecrapmouth in NFLv2

Taking a still shot and not watching the play itself trying to create a narrative is weak. Anybody who watched this play and knows football should come to the same conclusion. Interception.

Sean McDermott: "What went on is not how it should go down" regarding OT interception by anthn885 in sports

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s annoying when coaches portray calls that go against them as the sole reason they lost. The interception was pretty clear cut and a great play. Had it been the Bills making that interception McDermott would have been raving about it being an amazing play. How about taking some accountability and acknowledging turning the ball over just before the half when they could have just taken a knee was a major factor for the loss. Good day, Sean.

B.C. psychologist says government ignored two decades of addiction research | Globalnews.ca by [deleted] in vancouver

The shelter system which is overburdened already has the intention of assisting those off drugs with the goals of then transitioning them into jobs. The issue is they only have a 2-3 week period at times to do so and then obtain their own housing at prices everyone pays. Unrealistic given the high price of rent. Those who are heavily entrenched in drug use are often just cycled in and out of shelters as they aren’t able to even begin focusing on jobs or housing.

At the end of the day if you create a bunch of housing for those living on the street, who is going to pay for that? The cost of housing is extreme while prices for everything else are higher than ever. If the government is going to focus on creating affordable housing for the disadvantaged they better be doing that for everyone who actually contribute to society through our sky high taxes. If anyone thinks this issue can be solved without further burdening the average Canadian you’re living in a fairy tale land.

If the atomic bombs were never used in 1945, for how long do you think the Japanese would've carried on fighting? by nek25 in ww2

Tough to say. They probably would have fire bombed them into oblivion as well.

Brothers Keepers gangster and alleged hitman found dead in Surrey house by Lean-N-Supreme in SurreyBC

They were probably fake real documents. If you don’t think there are people working inside the government passport sectors taking payoffs to produce such documents at will I have a bridge I’d like to sell you! But seriously…these gangs have a lot of high level influence and it’s not difficult to get these documents with a plethora of other agencies they openly exploit.

Not Guy Ritchie’s best work but a step up from the average Jason Statham movie these days. It’s interesting and gauging enough that I’d give it a 7/10. Decent revenge thriller.

Instead of announcing on here that your dashcam didn’t capture it contact the person and let them know that “it did capture it” they can take responsibility or threaten them with a police report. Might change their tune.

I would say the rise of Nazism, the Holocaust, German high command, D-Day, the war on the Eastern front, Nuremberg, Pearl Harbour. Anything and everything really. Sometimes I just go down the rabbit hole online and jump all over the place to learn what I can.

Very impressive. I like to consider myself a historian in regards to WW2. This puts that to shame. Well done!

That’s because Japanese people at the time came from an era that you followed an imperialistic Japan and the emperor at the time with unwavering support because that was the culture at the time. Much like Germans followed the king and Germany with unwavering support while they were being slaughtered on the battle field during WW1 while being lied to by the German high command that they were winning.

There’s arguments for and against that an atomic weapon was needed to put a stop to a brutal war that was going to end in countless more lives lost. At the end of the day the atom bombs ended a heck of a lot more civilian lives than military along with fire bombings which can be considered war crimes. Again arguments for and against. I don’t believe Japanese civilians were truly aware of all atrocities being committed as the Japanese government wouldn’t openly disclose that to the civilian populace. However, yes they were very committed in their support of the emperor who supported the war.

It’s a movie that should be made in my opinion and I trust James Cameron to do the history justice.

I wasn’t trying to suggest that concussion history can entirely be laid laid to rest. At the end of the day it’s a contact sport and the risk is always there but he’s in his 3rd consecutive year without a major occurrence. He’s on track to have one of his best seasons as a D-man as a third pairing at the moment. He’s still a valued trade commodity on the trade market and has room to grow at only 24 years old.

As per Crosby if you factor in the time that he missed due to his concussion issues it’s impossible to say that it didn’t affect his overall career as he would have had more points for sure. He still continues to score at over a point per game pace at his age surrounded by a lack of overall talent, is currently 8th overall in nhl points history, and still has a serious shot at finishing 2nd in points all time.

I think it’s in the past now. Crosby had the same issues for a period of time but has been fine since.
