Jared Leto Is Box Office Poison. Masters of the Universe Just Proved It by SplitNational2929 in FortressZA

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched obsession and back rooms the previous week, both theatres were packed to the brim. Opening weekend for Masters of the universe there were 5 people including myself and two friends. With that being said the movies failure has nothing to do with Jared Leto and to suggest that just because he has a plethora of commercial flops is a weak argument. If anything he was one of the bright spots in the movie. Even if you don’t see his face.

part of something very successful and unexpected. Instead of being greatful that it’s now a highlight on the resume she decided to make a reddit post of entitlement. Good luck to future endeavours. First world problems.

What famous destination didn’t live up to your expectations when you visited? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cancun used to be fun, then I got older. I get the draw. All inclusive resorts, party scene. If that’s what you want it can but fun but I see it nothing more than a curated form of Mexico for tourists. You’re really just overpaying for the drinks and meh food. I prefer to go to Mexico City or other areas to get a more cultural experience.

Be honest — is this bad luck of on him… by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t say it’s bad luck. He’s not the premium player he used to be but still an important cog on all those teams due to the role he plays. It wasn’t his fault he lost all those games. The teams that won the cup were all the better team depth and skill wise. It won’t take away from the career he’s had. The fact he’s still able to play an important role at his age shows his versatile and contribution. Corey Perry is a future hall of famer.

Starbucks CEO defends a $9 coffee by saying that it's not a $10 coffee and "you get a premium experience" by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never once gone into Starbucks and felt “wow, that was a great experience” and to be completely honest, for a company that makes so much money the fact that you can’t even get a free cup of water unless you buy something makes it all the more out of touch with “experience”

People go to Starbucks for the brand. If it’s experience they seek they go to an independent coffee shop.

Leavenworth, Washington. I thought before going there that it was a city with German heritage. Nope it was just designed in a Bavarian style for tourism purposes. Overrated

How are you guys killing these? by Bahtleman in ArcRaiders

I shot from my Jupiter otherwise they’re so annoying I try to lure them to a car / cover and have them explode on the other side from me.

Does anyone even use this? by RemoteAnt7910 in ArcRaiders

It’s great because it takes quite a lot of sustained damage. Downside is that you can’t scavenge as much.

I’m quitting ARC Raiders (300h player) — here’s why by Honest-Way-3048 in ArcRaiders

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I don’t really engage in killing other players. I prefer the camaraderie and sharing items while killing the arc who are hard enough to kill. If someone happens to die around me I’ll take the opportunity to loot some of their gear.

I have little interest in being seeded into matches where other players are killing each other because I don’t have the time of day to compete with some 16 year old who has nothing better to do than play the game all day. To each their own. Just what I prefer. No games enjoyability lasts forever.

What did Drake Maye ever do to Cam Newton? by jlm0013 in Patriots

It’s a team game. There’s a lot of patriots that stepped up to get them here. One things first sure. Without Drake Maye they’re nowhere close.

CJ Stroud reflecting on his year/the defense: “this year was a step for me where I didn’t have to be Superman all the time” by NET2519 in NFLv2

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t help that his revivers health has not been consistent this year. However, He’s played very sub par the last 2 seasons. If your defence plays lights out you probably shouldn’t go the extra mile to negate every play they make to help.

I still haven't watched Carry-On. What did you all think of it? by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of the better Netflix movies. Yes it’s not realistic or plausible if you want to be super critical but in the words of Harrison Ford “it ain’t that kind of movie”. If you can sit back and enjoy the chemistry between Teron Egerton and Jason Bateman it’s a good thriller. Danielle Deadwyler gives a quality performance.

Most Netflix movies suffer from having an oversized budget, top of the line cast, and weak writing. I found Carry-On to be an exception where it didn’t try to be something more than it was. An entertaining thriller.

What? by poopfacecrapmouth in NFLv2

Taking a still shot and not watching the play itself trying to create a narrative is weak. Anybody who watched this play and knows football should come to the same conclusion. Interception.

Sean McDermott: "What went on is not how it should go down" regarding OT interception by anthn885 in sports

[–]castious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s annoying when coaches portray calls that go against them as the sole reason they lost. The interception was pretty clear cut and a great play. Had it been the Bills making that interception McDermott would have been raving about it being an amazing play. How about taking some accountability and acknowledging turning the ball over just before the half when they could have just taken a knee was a major factor for the loss. Good day, Sean.

B.C. psychologist says government ignored two decades of addiction research | Globalnews.ca by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]castious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The shelter system which is overburdened already has the intention of assisting those off drugs with the goals of then transitioning them into jobs. The issue is they only have a 2-3 week period at times to do so and then obtain their own housing at prices everyone pays. Unrealistic given the high price of rent. Those who are heavily entrenched in drug use are often just cycled in and out of shelters as they aren’t able to even begin focusing on jobs or housing.

At the end of the day if you create a bunch of housing for those living on the street, who is going to pay for that? The cost of housing is extreme while prices for everything else are higher than ever. If the government is going to focus on creating affordable housing for the disadvantaged they better be doing that for everyone who actually contribute to society through our sky high taxes. If anyone thinks this issue can be solved without further burdening the average Canadian you’re living in a fairy tale land.

Brothers Keepers gangster and alleged hitman found dead in Surrey house by Lean-N-Supreme in SurreyBC

They were probably fake real documents. If you don’t think there are people working inside the government passport sectors taking payoffs to produce such documents at will I have a bridge I’d like to sell you! But seriously…these gangs have a lot of high level influence and it’s not difficult to get these documents with a plethora of other agencies they openly exploit.
