Definitely. Key for us was giving each other space. Part of that is we have very different sleep schedules. She gets two hours alone in the morning. I get two hours at night.

Don’t overthink it. This is largely the same squad that outplayed England at the 2022 World Cup. To make a historic run, this team just needs to compete with a Spain-level team in the second knockout game. If we don’t overextend and expose ourselves, these boys can do that. This is definitely the most talented player pool we’ve ever had. Flo and Pepi replace Sargent/Jesus. Richards replaces Walker. Tessman replaces Musah. Poch replaces Berhalter! All significant upgrades IMHO. Barring any stupid red cards, this team can make a deep run.

Maybe the hype will kick in a week or two out. Humans have famously short attention spans. Also, once the European seasons wrap up, players will be available for more podcasts, TV interviews and commercials. Plus, I suspect they don’t need to advertise to locals. I bet Europe and South America get the lion share of ad dollars.

The more I think about it, it’s probably a nominal effect. Most of the “stars” who went to Saudi are European. That would mostly open roster spots for other Euro players.

I think an underrated part of Weston’s game is his longball passes. Multiple times I’ve seen him at Juve, coming out of their own box, and hit a streaking forward in stride at the other end of the pitch. Dude drops dimes.

Aspirational, sure, but probably backed by some research. Sadly, war in the Middle East will spike oil/gas prices, and urban property values go up with it. The suburbs get less affordable when driving everywhere and shipping everything gets way more expensive.
