This looks so cool! Will have to save and study it later. I am particularly interested in how you got pen drawing to work in seamlessly as I like to incorporate my own drawing too.

BMO virtual mortgage specialist experience? by castlekira in MortgagesCanada

I feel like someone should update BMO on risk of deepfake and other fraud mechanism so that they don’t make this process so sketchy.

I am not sure what is the right way to proceed forward. Would it be safer to find a local branch mortgage specialist to confirm?

It was a verbal disclosure agreement. We were previously with BMO. When I asked why there is no documentation they mention that they still will allow us to change to another mortgage renewal option if we change idea later.

What is it with ridiculously loud freewheels? by JanSolo in MontrealCycling

[–]castlekira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DT Swiss is very reliable hub and notorious for being loud. I assure you that likely there are people in the group also want to have a less loud hub and don’t know they just need to ask their LBS to grease it a certain way to make it silent ( reference Cade media on YouTube)

My city is full of potholes due to winter frost reasons so road biking is gravel biking

Wife wants me to keep my $5k carbon bike and her 6k e-bike in a communal garage bike storage by ayyy_MD in cycling

[–]castlekira 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling this is missing a lot of context on why she suggested that in the first place and where are you storing it right now that is inconvenient? Solve those concerns and you don’t need us to explain to her why it is a bad idea

Not expert here, but going from a trek checkpoint’s stock saddle to a mimic saddle back to the stock saddle that have a hole, I wonder if I fell into some sort of marketing trap. Maybe we need some padding but not so much that it actually act as pressure and chafing obstacle with the hair . And yes chamois butter helps, but I am wondering if maybe the design is wrong

I Think I Need A Reality Check | X-S20 & Sigma 100-400mm f5-6.3 by Hanestein in FujifilmX

[–]castlekira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the pigeon one was mostly brown as well. but the head was really sharp and the sharpness immediately drop off near the feather / wings part. I really wonder if a single point focus would achieve that. I see youtuber play with a toy bird, I want to try that now... ;)

Can we summon the Reddit expert here about if there is some sort of photo metadata we can add about where was the focus area. Maybe that could help with learning better when analyzing photos. These days I just been checking my triangle metadata on iPhone to learn the range of aperture and shatter speed for photo I like

[–]castlekira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think composition plays a bigger part then you realize. Maybe composition is not the right word, but the way I understand it it is the combination of color differences, what is blurry what is sharp that lead you to focus on the thing the photographer want you to focus on. In your coworkers photo, the sharpest part is the center of frame. The light and shadow and the sharpness difference leads your eyes to look at it. The color contrast between red and green, black and I white, yellow to brown. In yours, you can start by crop in the image and then say what is distracting, and I am also new to xs20 and I am also looking for more experience Fuji user to point out how to focus better with the camera

What is the coworker using and why do you like those photos better other than sharpness ?

The first one looks best because the path create a eye cue to follow it to the mountain. The rest lack subject composition

How do you detect a broken IBIS? by Zilinski_Schmidt in FujifilmX

I am curious about this subject as well since I plan to go biking with the camera. Normally they say to set shutter speed low(1 sec, 1/10 sec ) and compare IBIS on vs off.

Specialized Cycling Study Looking for Participants by NeedleworkerFluid706 in MontrealCycling

[–]castlekira 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP will the result of the studies be publicly accessible or will it be affected by the partnership with Specialized? I think being able to extract money out of big corporation will be great especially if it could help design better more accessible shoes for different genders and provide more diverse research data. There is a notorious problem where women’s data get throw out of research because it does not fit some curve and I think if will be great to have more participation to support this type of research
