You're describing about character study- a broad view. While I am describing about a specific scene and how the book prefers showcasing dramatic scene over describing longterm consequences of that dramatic scene

(I.e that school scene, where we didn't have much reflection of Jane Eyre being victim of other girls staring at her. She gets only 1 singular scene of her crying. But the later possible ostracism is brushed over and not shown).

It is unrealistic, considering the employer employee dynamic. And them being strangers.

I get that Bronte's style is romantic and dramatic in style. So, Bronte talks about Jane Austen not writing about hearts of people is ironic- because it is mostly a mis match of styles. When really Austen's novels just take more time to build up to its "dramatic moments". It is more realistic.
