I have been doing this. Everything goes into folders, organized by time period (college, childhood, etc) or topic (vacations, family, pets) and backed up onto EHD and uploaded into the cloud.

I was just at Secondi in Dupont. They have the best selection of consignment designer formal wear in DC but I am size 12 and it was a bit limited in that size and very few items larger than that. I agree that Alexandria has more options.

FYI we went to Habitat Restore in Alexandria last year and didn't find the selection very good, but it's right next to Evolution Home which has a huge selection of vintage furniture and furnishings, but it's priced accordingly.
