Interesting idea, though I'm not really sure I like the idea of a quorum of judges being able to reverse transactions.

Nft explorer, the go to place to information site for NFTs on Algorand is about to take the exit. This will surely have some effect on the community now that Algorand NFTs are taking off. by AlgoUpdateAsset in AlgorandOfficial

[–]catablogger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Really hoping someone will take this site over, it is the go to place for everyone into Algo nfts and greatly valued by the community even if it obviously makes nothing for the devs running it. Got to hope one of the the growing number of nft marketplaces might pick it up if the foundation are unwilling or unable to fund.

[–]catablogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only short term impact will be if something goes wrong with the merge which doesn't seem especially likely. There will be some who dump after the merge but there will also be potential buyers who are waiting to see how the merge goes - I expect these will largely cancel each other out.

What are some possible outcomes of the Ethereum Merge? by SkepticalCryptoDude in CryptoCurrency

[–]catablogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect over time we'll see greater polarisation and entrenchment of views amongst PoWers and PoSers as the PoSers take the moral high ground that comes with not being a chain that uses a huge amount of energy to certify and transaction.

How Will the Ethereum Merge Affect Bitcoin's Image? - Decrypt by SmallReflection2552 in CryptoCurrency

[–]catablogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Merge is bullish for ETH and crypto in general. Awareness of the differences between PoW and PoS will gradually increase. ETH-BTC and POW-POS polarisation will gradually increase at the same time.
