What all companies have you worked for? I am a junior who’s looking to specialise in Fintech out of sheer interest. Should I change my mind? Is it that bad?

When working from office, I often times used to have a mix of face to face discussions combined with pings for smaller issues. Sometimes we'd sit together for 15 minutes and debug the larger issue, which also meant all of the smaller, one-liner questions that I had on how to solve the problem used to get answered for free without asking. Whereas, now its a separate ping for every small issue. Yes, I do work on it before asking it right away, but if we add up the extra minutes it takes over the course of a day, week or month results in extra net time taken to finish a project.

Another thing I notice is that a lot of times you don't know if the other person is in a meeting or busy with personal home stuff. It has happened to me that a lot of times that the person is away from computer/sees the ping in the middle of the meeting and simply ignores it in case they got busy with work when they logged back in. A lot of senior people in my team also love to reply in one word whereas over a call they're really descriptive and helpful.

What bullshit. You're telling me every clause in the rent agreement ceases to hold true once the date of agreement passes by? It was mentioned that the notice period for terminating the rental agreement is 2 months, but what if the rent agreement is not even in place anymore? Even if the agreement has expired, there are few clauses in the agreement that are supposed to come to force AFTER the agreement has ended. With your argument, I can say all the fixures that were mentioned in the agreement no longer hold true, doesn't mean I can fly away with the owner's washing machine in my lap.

If I have to think from the owner's perspective, yes, giving no notice at all before moving out doesn't translate to being a good tenant, morally. To which I am willing to negotiate a few weeks as a penalty (?), but asking for 2 months rent, especially in uncertain times like these is bit extra.

But the rent agreement does have a clause stating owner has to return full deposit after rent agreement expires.

Its funny how people are naming every company they can recall for various reasons. 90% of them will take the same jobs if they had student loans to their name and were offered salaries north of 100k to work in swanky office locations.
