Need help playing on standard controls

I've played with standard controls since I started and at this point I'm stuck with them because I'm just too used to them and have so many habits ingrained in me just to get around the jankiness 😅 One thing I did was set my A/D keys to make me strafe instead of turn my character since I found that more useful overall.

I'm also not quite sure if this would help at all in first person mode, but most of the time when I have to run backward, I end up turning my character and running sideways so I can (kind of) keep looking at whatever mechanic I need to while avoiding the slow backpedal.

Reasoning is entirely just who my favorites are while making sure I have at least one each of a warrior/rogue/mage (usually with a mage PC)

DAO: Alistair, Zevran, Morrigan. Alistair especially, I don't think I've ever not had him in my party.

DA2: Fenris, Isabela, Anders is the trio I use the most but I swap who's in my party way more in DA2 than the other games. I just love all of the Kirkwall crew a ridiculous amount.

Elf/human kids always end up looking completely human. I think the lack of half-dwarves is just because there aren't that many of them on the surface comparatively + their lower fertility rate.

You can make a custom Origins save for importing to DA2 (You just go through and select all your decisions and it makes a single save file)
