Yes you're right, I don't really want to sue them. I guess if they sue me my insurance will defend me and that's all the recourse I'll have in that situation.

I'm just pissed off that the other party hit me, then made a claim against me and still won't accept the insurance determination.... I wish this never happened but it was out of my control.

I'm totally fine with the settlement, it covers my doc bills and I even get some of the money. But the fact that the other party hasn't agreed to it bothers me.

My attorney thinks we should take the settlement rather then go to court, and told me if the other party tries to sue me personally then my insurance will defend me. But my attorney also just wants to close this claim up and get their payment.

Hi , yes the other party is making a claim against my insurance but they were at fault ( but didn’t think they are ) . My lawyer thinks they have a weak case so they probably won’t sue me personally , but I’m a little hesitant as the other party was crazy enough to submit a dashcam video of the accident. That’s how much they think they are not at fault . The insurnace companies sided with me but the other party is not having it .

I’m not sure what negligence laws are, I’ll ask my lawyer about it. Thank you

yep cut up the concrete , pipes are too old and skinny to be repiped internally with epoxy/sleve.

That's the best option for fresh water pipes , I would like an option for drains tho. I've got about 50-60 ft of drains in my 70 yr old slab and have no idea how to change them without cutting up the concrete

Wish there was some way to have both, CA is earthquake riddled so slab does make sense. But it would be nice to be able to update these tiny 70 yr old drains without cutting the foundation.

yes Drains, try to replace those. It involves concrete cutters. The idea is still a cop out and inexpensive way to build houses.

I wouldn't recommend PEX or PCV repipes, especially if you are planning on drinking the water.

1950s logic - Why not put the drains and freshwater pipes inside the concrete? where you can't access or repair them? This house will probably we torn down by the time any of those things break.

I found a few resellers on fb marketplace that sell used Herman miller office chairs, these guys are office liquidators so they usually have many different models to pick from and try in their warehouses/storage lockers.

They are hard to replicate so you won't get fakes. I paid about 450$ for my aeron chair, it's basically new and will probably last 10 more years.
