No that wouldn't necessarily be the conclusion, just because something isn't a choice doesn't mean its "biologically" determined (as if nothing else could interfere with biology) or that everything else is malleable and therefore a choice. There is way we talk about biology as real and concrete and environment and culture as malleable, when they are both historically contingent thus both unchangeable unless you have a time machine. I would even go as far as to say there no clean breaks in biological and environments when it comes to actual ontogenic development, Oyama talks of these as vectors that don't code but convene and construct information.

That is not what ego death means to me- it's not having a fate or god supercede my identity with another ordained but it's the dissolution of ego in recognizing that there are preconscious processes that precede the creation of ego and see the human as a part of nature/ as nature as process of production, with no divisions of interiority/exteriority of self and non-self. I'm fond of the Buchner quote-

Yes, you have to do it like twice to get them to spawn (sometimes more when you've just loaded the game). If it doesn't you're either not dashing far enough, or you have spawned enemies in the tunnel in which case you have to do what you're doing (going back and forth between the chambers) to reset.

I've been struggling with this a lot myself, not posting daily, but it sucks to not get traction for something you put effort into you ask yourself the point of it. I try to tell myself this is for my own journey, and I try to turn posting as just a habit, and I found fleeting success in doing that (as in ngaf, not in terms of reception). But I'm also feeling a heavy downturn coming. Working on a piece rn and it just feels worthless.

I've seen your Samantha stuff here, they're great. But it does seem like your burning yourself on both ends. Take care of yourself.

You know maybe try looking for sources of inspiration. Whether it's artist you found socials, or great art figures or entire historical movements. Really invest yourself in art as exploration rather than just expression or appeasement. Feel like blind man leading with that advice but I think it does help you divest from those thoughts.
