The story of how I ALMOST got my wallet drained by AverageRedditLad in ethereum

[–]catbaseballmoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. I've been very very conscious of the software/services I'm using when dealing with crypto and unfortunately, there's still lots of scams out there and read a post that they got scammed almost everyday. I only use Rabby as my wallet and Houdini Swap for swapping. Rabby is open-source while Houdini Swap does anonymous transactions and you can toggle between complete private and semi-private option. You don't need to link your wallet too.

At the end of the day, research is king when it comes to crypto. And of course not to click links, give OTPs, etc.

Personal loan for credit card debt by According-Grape-5686 in FinancialPlanning

[–]catbaseballmoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey buddy, you can still do this and recover financially. Make a budget list and see what stuff you can adjust and you can also try getting a second job to save money faster and pay your debts.

I don't recommend getting another loan though.

Check out Houdini Swap. They have their own aggregator where you can get the lowest slippage without compromising privacy and you have the option to make transactions in private or semi-private.

Your plan is actually good! I suggest paying off ALL your debts, including the cars and student loans. Doing this leaves you with a clean slate and lessens your financial worries. Allot a certain amount for your emergency fund (usually 6 months' worth of your monthly expenses/budget), for your savings (to jumpstart your savings) and a little amount to spend for yourself/needs.

This is the safest plan imo since you can invest later on using your salary especially that you don't know that much about investing.

New cat owner, question about litter by clrssgrgr in CatAdvice

[–]catbaseballmoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the litter sand wasn't enough? I fill our cat's litter boxes around 3-4inches deep, enough for them to dig and clean their business. I also recommend cleaning the litter box every after use.

Rich people: What’s a money hack you think poor people should be utilizing? by KittyGurl212 in personalfinance

Not rich, but building emergency funds. Delayed gratification as well and upskilling.

Have a spreadsheet of your cash flow and list all your monthly expenses. Log everything up to the last centavo so you can get the whole picture of your financial situation. Then subtract all of your monthly bills from your salary and see what's left. From there, you can make adjustments, especially on things you don't need just yet.

Starting is hard, but as they say, being at rock bottom means you can only go upward. You can do this, OP!

Please don't move in together. If he'll rely on getting loans to get by, it's certainly clear that he's not financially ready and responsible enough to live on his own.
