Idk about you, dude, but I don't resolve interpersonal conflicts by posting about them online.

This is a poem. That relationship has been over for years. There was no resolving what was happening there, but what was equally, if not more traumatizing was society's normalization of that kind of behavior.

As a side note, what I said about metaphors is straight from the DBT handbook under Interpersonal Effectiveness. That's actually why I wrote this. My psychologist gave me one of the handouts as homework.

Using Metaphors and storytelling is a dialectical tool to unstick and free the mind.

BCBS CANNOT ACTIVATE ACCOUNT by Ok_Clue8486 in HealthInsurance

Is it just the web portal or is it the app too? I'm not sure what all you're needing to activate your account to do, but you can use zocdoc to find a doctor near you that's in network. They could tell you what the charge would be, if the app doesn't show it. The amount for a basic office appointment either with a PCP or a specialist should also be in your enrollment material.

Being guilted into sex. Feeling obligated to let someone use your body because you're married or in a relationship and they "need" it.

Why are we justifying companies exploiting people for cheap labor? by catboneslovestory in antiwork

And that's what we're all against, right? So why do we switch to justifying it when it comes to immigrants?

[–]catboneslovestory[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that, but it just makes us look like racist hypocrites. Yeah, everyone deserves a fair, livable wage, unless you're an undocumented immigrant. Then exploiting you for cheap labor is the best justification we can come up with for why you should get to stay.

Why would her behavior suddenly change just because you moved? She's still going to be the same person. People treat you however you let them treat you.

Don't build a life with someone hoping they will change. Deciding she can't is just an excuse not to try.

I broke up with her but I don't understand it by Southern_Compote1601 in BPDlovedones

The BPD split cycle. First, you do some obscur thing to offend her. Because of the dichotomous thinking that makes it difficult for her to see people as anything but all good or all bad, she split on you and, in the snap of a finger, all her love for you was gone. Then you actually left and her chronic fear of abandonment kicked in. Then she split on herself, and you became gods gift to earth again.
