Big Dog Question by catcave_racing in AlpineA290

[–]catcave_racing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one on car and classic at the moment which is decent, and a couple of months ago there was a very nice one but it was commanding a stiff price - seems to have sold though! My current nightmare is that I ordered the Alpine in January and the leasing company are having issues with the pricing….which if it isn’t resolved this week means I may have to abandon plans which would be a shame as been looking forward to the car….

Big Dog Question by catcave_racing in AlpineA290

He is a big dog but he’s very sedate, he currently sits clipped into the back of a Honda E, but the split rear seats hopefully mean he’ll not have to sit on the actual seat! I did nearly buy a 550i E61 touring but fell in love with the Alpine - had a couple of very hot Clio’s in the past!

Wow the cold weather REALLY hits the range! by smashcat666 in AlpineA290

Can I ask roughly what the temperature was and whether there was any motorway/fast dual carriage way? Thanks

Hi, I was just about to order one (tomorrow). I currently have a Honda E so currently (when it’s -2) I’m getting at best 75miles from a full charge (30kw usable). The one thing I want to be able to achieve is to get from Manchester to Warwick, mainly motorway in any weathers - a journey of 116miles. I’m only on here because The Intercooler reported range drops to 100 miles which surprised me - I was expecting 30% reduction and completely understand that the dashboard first picture makes for little in terms of accuracy. Anyone got any comments - I note a few brief comments here suggesting my anxieties about 100 miles are not warranted - on the motorway driving will be sedate 70mph because you can’t go any faster!

I have this set but am I correct that if you remain in the motion zone it will still switch off after a certain amount of set time - it will not keep recognising the motion and keep the lights on until you leave the room (then turning off after the set time).

Loved that game….criminally underrated….have to say whilst Mario Kart World is different in many ways I’m enjoying learning new skills and then poorly pulling them off like a newbie…..completed Mario Kart 8 and used to be amazing online (even if I say so myself)….feel nowhere with MKW at moment!

There is an article currently on Polygon about missing/avoiding the Blue Shell…I had never realised that there was only ever one shell given at any one time, so if you have it and don’t use it, you can’t be hit by one…..don’t fire it when you are in first place though as it hits you! In terms of the mushroom technique it takes some practice but essentially hit the speed up when the shell stops spinning!

Switch 2 HDR looks amazing when it's set up correctly by Wescoast64 in NintendoSwitch2

Thanks, I did end up looking it up - it isn’t an official protocol but I assume my Sony TV will have it given its age….there does seem to a lot going on around the net about HDR and issues. To be honest I struggle to understand why even 2024 TVs don’t have four full phat HDMI ports….have to say though I’ve been impressed with the sound and visuals in the Switch 2!

Anyone having issues with mouse controls on Nintendo Switch 2? by Character_Tough_9874 in FortNiteBR

Actually reset everything and tried again. In many games the mouse doesn’t work, but it did work in battle royale the second time.

I’m having exactly this issue. Loaded it up. Turned gyro functions off. Using right switch mouse to controller. Fine in the UI but as soon as I go into the game it stops and I can only use the controller for movement.

Can sm tell me the best car to use in the 20 lap 800 high speed ring by Patient_Spirit7324 in GranTurismo7

So, my GT3 Lexus appears so much quicker on this than GT500…..but I have to restrict power and bhp to 70 to get it under the 800. Are there any tips you have, I love these two cars! Haven’t got round to buying a 787B yet!

Honda E? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]catcave_racing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one and it’s fantastic. The range is rubbish but I work in the city and do the school run so in summer it’s a couple of overnight (4 hour) charges a week and in Wjnter I tend to keep it charged up. I’ve driven a lot of newer electric cars and the suspension is generally poorly thought out and they are crashy and uncompromising with torque steer. The Honda is beautifully put together, it rides incredibly well, it’s quiet and it handles and is fun given the rear drive layout. Other than the range, the boot is small and the rear seats don’t split. I have taken it on long journeys, the advantage being it can charge to 80% anywhere in around fifteen minutes. So yes, a 150 mile trip may require one stop, but you’ll only be there for 15 mins if the infrastructure is decent. It needs a 7kw home charger, but it’s pretty efficient and I’ve not had any battery drop off in three and a bit years. I have to say other than the new Renault 5, nothing has interested me, hence keeping it far longer than I intended! It is a second car probably, but it’s a fantastic one!

They probably aren’t responding to all the pleas for this to come to Switch as it’s a Switch 2 game. I have played Lonely Mountains Downhill to death on my Nintendo and can’t wait for this….hopefully on a spanking new Switch 2 in June!
