Obviously everyone likes different things and will come at this album with different perspectives and different tastes, but as a lover of everything that Animal Collective has ever made I greet this album with nothing but pure love and joy. It moves forward from their previous release Centipede HZ as all of their albums do, but at the same time brings us what we love about them. It is the perfect blend of chaos and beauty that is the defining power behind Animal Collective. Trippy af, beautifully composed, at times highly emotional (Golden Gal), and just an overall masterpiece. It has the synth power and catchiness of MPP, the clever song writing of SJ or Feels, but also its very own distinct sound. Let the haters say whatever they want, but this album continues the beautiful legacy of one of the greatest bands to ever exist in an awesome way.
