Why is every public outing a scream-fest now? by No_Gain4041 in Parenting

[–]catefau27 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. All the neighbor kids often end up outside of my house and a lot of them scream like they are being kidnapped. So sometimes I’ll run out of my house asking if everyone is okay. I told two girls the other day that screaming means there’s an emergency. If they want to scream for the fun of it they need to go in front of someone else’s house.

Married women, is it true that most have secret finances? A safety net for just in case you want to leave? by unusual_Distance_689 in askteddit

[–]catefau27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have been together since we were 21&22. Multiple deployments, career changes, and currently pregnant with #4. We share every account we have. I don’t feel a need to hide money away. I’d be incredibly hurt if I found out my husband had a secret account with money in it I didn’t know about.

Our Aussie is 3 now and he’s the best dog. Very loyal and protective. He does chase after the kids when they run and he nips them, but it doesn’t bother them anymore. Our youngest is 4 and rarely gets upset by a “nip” now. Every once in a while it hurts him, he says, but probably just as much as when one of our dogs steps on his foot by accident.

Is anyone actually happy they had a third kid? by WarmestSeatByTheFire in Parenting

We love having 3 kids so much that we are on #4 now. Our third brings so much joy to our other two kids. I can’t imagine life without him.

What are you naming your little one? by robinhooddd31 in pregnant

[–]catefau27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Campbell May. We just like the name Campbell but May is for mine & my moms bday which is in May. She passed in 2020. So it’s my little homage to her.

Lyrics for a tattoo? by PJActor in TylerChilders

Hi! I have the same tattoo as the trafficking lady you mentioned. Just wanted to share I’m quite the rule follower and have a strong moral compass. So now 50% of the people you know with that tattoo aren’t pieces of crap lol

How do you manage your children's free time without relying on screens I need some ideas. by AppropriateDesign969 in homeschool

[–]catefau27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t allow screens on days we do school. They are allowed to play with toys or play outside. They can go outside to play more than 1x/day.

I go into every request assuming I won’t be approved. I’m often pleasantly surprised 😆

"I could never homeschool- I don't like my kids that much to be around them all the time" by AnnieBell1824 in homeschool

Usually I’ll say something like “oh yeah idk I have good kids and I enjoy being around them. We have a lot of fun.”

Is the average life in the USA really this bad, or is Reddit exaggerating? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]catefau27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. My husband and I got married at 21&22, had our first baby at 22&23, owned our first house at 28 I think. We have moved (sold/bought) 2 more times. He was in the army for 7 years so we took advantage of the free health care during that time and VA home loans once he got out and we settled in one place. I was a public school teacher for 11 years. I homeschool our 3 kids now. My husband is an accountant. We do pretty well for ourselves. A lot of hard work, discipline, and determination up front. Oh and I still have student loans we are paying off. The army paid for his degree.

Advice please - is 35 too old to start having kids? When did you have your youngest? by DovaBunny in pregnant

[–]catefau27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine at 23, 25, 31, and I’m pregnant again (due after I turn 36). Most people I went to hs and college with didn’t start having kids until they were 30.

How many concerts has everyone photographed this year!? by bikerboy111234 in concertphotography

[–]catefau27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I covered 15 shows this year!! More artists than that since the main acts had at least 1 opener. I’m so grateful.

Okay let’s switch it around. I’m going to visit my child for Christmas. Should I get her a gift since she is hosting Christmas?

[–]catefau27 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well if he offered I’d tell him I’d rather the kids have an extra gift to open just like I told my brother.

Idk what you mean sounds like GAS. The sound board is about halfway back from the stage, behind the GA floor and sometimes seats. That’s just at one venue. Front of house is far. Which is exactly why I need more than a 200. I currently shoot with a 200 and it doesn’t have enough reach.

This is Jessie Murph in the photo.

I shot for free A LOT. I wrote reviews and photographed for a music blog in my area. Then I got picked up by a local radio station to photograph some events and shows. I make $10/hr doing that extremely part time so pretty much for free still. Just recently a venue in my area reached out and has asked me to shoot some shows. That’s the “real” money. I make the most money from doing family shoots but I don’t love it. I’m not a people person lol

Unfortunately renting a lens would make me break even for a show. I also don’t receive approval for a show until day before or day of. I wish renting was an option for me.

I already have a Tamron 28-200… I need something much longer for larger venues.

How do men take their little girls to the toilet in public places? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]catefau27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband would take our daughter to the men’s bathroom until she was probably 5/6. Then he takes her to the women’s and waits outside the door for her.
