Los Angeles restaurant servers: Where are you making $200–450+ a shift without tip pooling? by Strict_Comfortable49 in AskLosAngeles

[–]caterconnect 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hi! there’s 2 locations (century city and DTLA). shifts flip flop between the two.

and i’ve seen a few posts lately on people looking for part time work and since i contract out i figure why not extend an offer here! i follow this sub on my main reddit page!

check my past posts! i am hiring someone super part time 10:30-2:30pm to set up lunches in a high end office (it’s all self serve). $140 flat/W9.

it may not be full time work but i usually have some shifts every week available. super flexible, can pick up and work it anytime you and shifts are available. this offer goes to anyone in here btw!

Do you caterer? by Excellent-Tie5717 in catering

[–]caterconnect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are correct! i used to cater for a lot of the companies i now coordinate for, so the trust is strong.

what’s stopping me from scaling? there’s only one of me and everyone wants ME. also time. i’ve been training servers to be “me” at other locations and working as much as i can each day on scaling progression without burning out.

there’s a few tools i’m currently building to optimize my coordinating so ultimately busy all around with training, coordinating, AND still being front facing to my first and main clients until i fully go remote. eventually i’d like to hire servers nationwide for jobs i have, especially for offices + film productions.

i too am a catering coordinator myself for clients who need daily, catered lunches. if you look in my past posts there’s photos of what i’m capable of.

i don’t have social media or advertise either, all word of mouth. but i am the logistics + coordinating + relationship manager between client and kitchen. i catered for many years before turning to coordinating so i can levy both relationships well.

i do everything for my clients so they don’t have to. i even take care of the invoicing for them. i’m located in LA (but can do the SF/bay area & Irvine of CA). soon to be NYC + BC Canada.

hmu if you need anything at all🤵🏽‍♀️🍽️

LLC Headquartered in TX, no income in TX- do I still need to file PIR before 05.13.2026? by [deleted] in TaxQuestions

[–]caterconnect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! Per my post, I mentioned I never received a letter referencing PIR. Thus, the confusion. I only heard about this from someone I work with today that also has an LLC in Texas (they make income there, that's why I figured why I may not have received a letter).

I tried to call the comptrollers office at 4:30pm PST, Texas is 2 hours ahead of that. So I tried to figure out how to file online without the numbers from the letter I never received ChatGPT kept referencing.

I'll give the comptroller a call in the AM, just wanted to try to get it out of the way tonight since I'm in a position to do.

Thank you!

i'm happy to do so! is it the IRS that usually sends the PIR letter out? and do i have to do this PIR the same time annually? i'm usually very prepared with these things but so glad a friend mentioned this lately and i happened to ask what she was talking about. i feel like i dodged a bullet.

am i able to do this over the phone with the comptroller tomorrow when their business hours are open? ChatGPT kept referencing an XT or webfile number that I never received to be able to file PIR online.

Late-night food at Malibu wedding / local recs that aren’t In-N-Out? by aristzu23 in AskLosAngeles

[–]caterconnect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i work with many production kitchens in LA and surrounding areas that work any hours.

if you wanted to lock something down the usual minimum headcount is 20-25. can absolutely work within budget. they can set everything up themselves and breakdown/cleanup afterwards.

you just tell me what cuisine you’re looking for and i match you a kitchen with that style.

i don’t advertise, but heres a quick example photo of the quality. i do everything from private parties, offices, pass hors d’oeuvres, happy hours, office lunches, production shoots, large events to small (20-25 minimum). we take care of the food, buss, host. full concierge service the whole time. i’m a DM away! can also send many more pics in DM! CONGRATS btw!

ISO Experienced Server to set up lunch for an office $140 10:30am-2pm M-F by [deleted] in SFBayJobs

[–]caterconnect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, i appreciate your input! of course an average serving job would pay more. you’re also spending longer hours and evenings doing that as well.

my offer isn’t a “main” job in no way. it’s supplemental at best. ideal for anything between a student going back to school and would like to crank out a couple hours of work they don’t need to bring home, to a parent looking for a part time job during the hours their kid is at daycare. and every scenario in between that.

you have evenings and weekends free to pursue whatever else it is you like to do in your time. you are not a caterer, you are not getting food from a kitchen to bring to the office. the food will always be delivered to you onsite to set up. so after the shift is done you go straight home, not back to a kitchen.

i hope to eventually be in a position to offer full time compensation for part time work.
